In Topic: Sonic Lost World (Wii U, 3DS) Megathread
28 May 2013 - 10:14 PM
My husband (who is not as into Sonic as me) watched the trailer and the first thing out of his mouth was, "Why don't they use the old Sonic, that would fit much better" without knowing anything else about the game.
I can live with Sonic in big world, if the proportionality makes the game better or more playable. For example, maybe if they increase the size of Sonic then he is too large on screen and there isnt enough time to react to obstacles when moving fast. But, I have to agree with him, the older model fits much better.
Honestly, I think Sega should do a hybrid. A little of old, a little of new, something borrowed, and of course something blue!
We've had "Modern" Sonic longer than "Classic" by now, haven't we? -

I must agree about this more simple aesthetic being superior. It should be less distracting than the previous modern 2D iterations. I hope we get to see more classic style elements implemented similarly. Like the way the classics would have geometric objects and machinery in the background. Also, I think the 6 villains has more potential than I had thought at first. Sorta reminds me of Paper Mario villains, which can only be a good thing IMO.
I'm not sure why people keep referring to Xtreme though, I only see Galaxy. But I'm ok with that for now... -

This looks like pokemon, thank you Nintendo exclusive. Nawt.
You are the typical unpleasable Sonic fanboy. WE DON'T EVEN KNOW ANYTHING OTHER THAN SOME GODDAMN SILHOUETTES YET THAT'S SOMEHOW ENOUGH FOR PEOPLE TO KNOW THE ENTIRE PLOT.
My comment = personal, measured, self aware.
Your comment = redundant, absolute, aggressive, 75% caps.
Are you suggesting that we should all stop speculating? Because I'm sure that is in large part why Sega released the photo. 99% of the people on this site have dedicated enough time, energy and money to the franchise to develop an opinion and expectations. The only person I see making definitive statements is you.
Perhaps you should relax and respect peoples freedom to make subjective statements of personal taste on a fan web forum, as this is both the time and the place.
It's not your fault that your parents got divorced, kid... -

In Topic: Sonic X - 10 years old.

I remember being seeing commericals for Sonic X, then being crushed that it was only on American tv, and I didn't have the channel. Later on I eventually got FoxKids or whatever and saw a few episodes, but never really took after it.
I wanna watch it again...
Which episode would you guys recommend?
