Make sure to click the link, guys. The final tree is animated, but that doesn't show in the forum post.

And apparently if you click on it you can see the animation playing at different speeds. Or at least, it worked like that when I opened the page in Chrome.

I can't help but wish some of these episodes had entire half-hour blocks to work with. There are interesting ideas here but a lot of them end up feeling wasted on rushed 11-minute episodes. Sonic Boom needs to slow down.

Eggman doing another stupid betrayal? Check. The "ending" feeling rushed and unsatisfying? Check. Oh, and some extra mediocrity points for not letting Eggman explain what the hell was actually going on with the running sound.

Not even lowered expectations can change the fact that the writing only gets more repetitive with every passing week.

I kinda hope they do a HD remake of Sonic 3 after this considering the remaster might be a no go.

Ya honestly I'd rather see the team tackle that to make up for what we might not get. But Sonic 2 is still good too.

As much as I like Sonic 3 (& Knuckles), I think Sonic 2 benefits a bit more from this sort of remake. The special stages benefit from increased visibility ahead of you, the seamless transitions are a nice addition, and who knows what else they might do with it (maybe Hidden Palace Zone?)... S3&K, on the other hand, does so many things right in the original release that an HD treatment would have less to improve upon beyond the visuals.

Would I love to see S3&K HD? I sure as hell would. But I think Sonic 2 HD is the more interesting upgrade.

S3&K HD would certainly be nice.
