Nope, the stage files are terrain-model, inside the Stage.pfd file (It's just an ar0 file as far as I can tell). They're just stripped .model files. Have no bones, completely static and have their own instance files to tell you where they are in 3D space and their rotations. Which I cannot for the life of me figure out...hence why the level importing script wasn't released alongside the .model script. And for the second thing, I believe Photoshop can. Don't ask me how though, don't know myself, haha.
Yeah I took inside those and got stuck, I guess from you initial sense, these must be the base level polygonal data and lightmaps. The <stage> and <stage>-Add files seem to be one big archive. -Add seems to contain the first round of GI data and the base file contains the rest with level data.

I just unpacked it using Zip, then upacked the new .ar file using arunpack..

Hah, didn't spot this, proved my theory then. Awesome. Added .ar to my Winrar preferences file list. -

Finally got round to unpacking after my playthrough, a lot of leftovers from Sonic Unleashed I see, must've been made directly on top of the existing unleashed game.
Is there a way to batch unpack arl/ar00 files? (SOrry for noobish question) -

Well the steam autumn weekend sale has started and strangely the only game that escaped getting a discount was Sonic Generations.

IN other news, I've 100% the PC version, where's my cookie (S-Ranks for all except missions)
