I'm convinced most of these Dreamcast online services failed because nobody had internet connections. Certainly not ones fast enough to cope with voice chat.

Yeah but they were trying their best to make people get use of the internet, or rather, they tried to make people have internet connections. As far as I know they showed the internet starter kit as they were about to sell Dreameye. (InternetStarterKit is supposedly be 14800 Yen) It had keyboards mouse Dream Passport3 ~Urban Style~ and guide books relating to Internet connections.

Especially when they wanted to take advantage of Dreamcast Direct and started to release pretty colourfull memory cards . :v:

Weird, seeing as how I never heard of problems like this when I did my research before buying it. I can guarantee the problem isn't the disk, because I bought it factory sealed. It's the best looking disc I've ever seen in my life.

Well, it's too bad that I couldn't get this to work. I wanted to play the last 2 games in the X series, and I don't have a PS2. At least the seller offers returns.

X7 is the one thats the least worth it playing. Off topic, but since it was factory sealed how much did you pay for it?

Its the protection , so other than Korean Computers (Alas, windows 7 series like Windows 7 K , which is sold only in korea) it would probably not work .

(Thats what I think anyways, since I tried to play some old Korean games on a laptop I bought from Canada, it didn't work, and gave similiar errors like those)

Or , the iso you downloaded , or the disk you have is terribly scratched. And the msi might be horribly defected

    Spoiler

I dunno, there are many possibilites why it might not work, but I can't really give you a tip to getting it work . :v:

Edit: or fuck it you could download this so called Megaman X collection torrent thingy , which did work on my canadian laptop.

So, I just dusted off my SFC and tried to play turtles in time... I realized I didn't have the component cables, so I went out and bought a Gamecube Multi cable thingy that has the S-Video.

My power supply is 220v oddly enough, I couldn't find the original supply. But, I remember that not being a problem.

Turn it on, Nothing appears, I don't think its the Cartridge. I honestly don't know what is wrong.

The SFC doesn't have component cables, they're composite cables. Just sounds like a crappy cable to me. As the design could be causing inpendence issues with other consoles attached to it or if I'm reading this wrong... It could just be the cable is bad and not passing on a signel. I can't recall if SFC had S-Video output to begin with... Someone who knows more about the SFC could help you with that.

Try cleaning the cartridge slot and the game first and checking the seating of the slot (could be worn, too).

Actually I was just about to edit that to Composite cables. oops :v: Well, I asked Kiddo and he said "Gamecube S-Video cables should work fine with the SFC" so yes, the S-Video for SFC exists :v:
