Sonik Sprite Remix Source Code Released
14 August 2006 - 03:38 AM
It's been a long time since anyone heard anything on this project. Mainly because I hadn't done much in well over a yaer and a half. I moved on, pretty much. As sad as it is. I also know that releasing it so late will not do much for the community now, since a lot of people have moved out of the hacking and are now primarily just for the community. Alas, I hope someone can find it useful.
So here it is, the SSII source.

If anyone wants to add to the databases, or continue the software for some reason, I ask only that my name remain somewhere in there. hehe.....
As with the released versino of Sonik Sprite Remix, it only completely supported Sonic 1 and some of it's compressed art. In order to add more games/sprites, you'd need to do so from Access97 due to backward compatability issues when saving.

A note from Beta--
After forgetting to do this a long time ago, I'm releasing the source code to Sonik Sprite Remix. It includes all images, databases, and other such information nessisary to recompile and use the program.
The databases that store the data are Access 97 format, meaning in order to view/use Sonik Sprite, your need the ADO components nessisary to access it. I do not know for sure if they are in this RAR file, but it is quite possible. In order to add entries to the database, you need Access 97 (later versinos cannot save into this format). I had not yet written a tool for adding these non-directly.
Sonik Sprite Remix was coded in VB6, and was the last program of mine to be done so since my move into other languages. The commenting isn't as good as I'd like and there is some sloppy code. I hope this might turn up useful in some way.
