Topics I've Started

  1. Things in Sonic Games you misinterpreted when you were younger...

    23 March 2010 - 06:55 PM

I was giving Sonic 1 a run through again just to past the time. Got to Spring Yard and when this bugger appeared:

I suddenly remembered how I used to call it "Evil Sonic Clone" just because the way it rolls up into a ball and uses Sonic's palette line (Not knowing that back then, of course.) Another thing I misinterpreted (I'm guessing this is the right word to use, correct me if I'm wrong) was that Balloon platform thing in Sonic 3, Carnival Night Zone. I always thought that was a flying Trifle... Don't ask.

Is there anything you've spotted in a Sonic game that you thought was something completely different to what it actually was, when you were younger?
  2. [Release] Sonic: Ring Rush

    18 August 2009 - 04:24 PM

Hey there, I'd like to present my latest Hack:

The reason why it's called Sonic Ring Rush is that you can use the rings that you collect to perform extra moves like the JumpDash or a Double jump at the cost of a few rings, this just makes the rings a little more useful.

    Screenshots

    Lush Lake:

    The first act, at day.

    The Second act, at sunset.

    Special Stage:

Just showing the Special Stage in Action.

    W.I.P screenshots

    Castle Zone:

The background will be changed to a Castle Wall in the distance.

    Rocky Ruins Zone:

I've shown this before and I haven't really made any more progress other than maybe fixing up a bit of the Collision, etc.

    Spaceship Zone:

Only the Palette has been done, but I will change the background so it looks like you are looking out into space through a big Window.

  3. Sonic Eraser on eBay

    26 July 2009 - 04:09 PM

So yeah just browsing eBay and came across this, I'm guessing it's in a bootleg cartiridge but looks pretty well done and original art too. But £1.5k, if someone would even consider buying that, they are both rich and don't know how to google search.

    Link.
  4. How do I dump a GBA game?

    14 July 2009 - 09:06 AM

Just curious since it might be important for me in the upcoming weeks, does anyone know how?
  5. Looking for a Linux Distro...

    11 July 2009 - 08:46 AM

Hey, all the Linux Experts out there, I'm looking for a new Linux distribution, but I need one to suit my needs.

    I'm looking for-

Try and avoid the bloated crap, so minimum preinstalled software.
    64-Bit Processor support.
    Supports .deb
    Live CD Support
Can't use the standard Gnome as the Desktop Environment, since I hate how Gnome is laid out. =
Linux 2.6 support since I have a BT Voyager 1055 USB Adapter (Broadcom 43xx Chipset, I believe)

    Any ideas?
