Fuck that, use this opportunity to give us home ports of two games that never left the arcade.
Planet Harriers and Outrunnners for sure!

Actually, if anything, these kickstarters show that games like these DON'T make money. Look at Bloodstained for example, which had 64,867 backers over the course of one month. That's essentially only 64,867 copies of the game being "sold" which doesn't even break the 100,000 mark, let alone 1 million. The reason kickstarters are even successful in the first place is because they target the small niche/hardcore demographic that's willing to toss larger amounts of cash then the normal consumer. In addition, the average game budget today is roughly $20 million; whereas most kickstaters only reach a few million on average. To put this even further into prospective, Mighty No. 9 had 67,226 backers, Shantae had 18,558, and TJ&E had 8,873.
Kickstarters are great because they allow gamers to get niche genres/series that aren't able to compete against the mainstream, but it's delusional to think that kickstater games make money even remotely comparable to the industry's top sellers.
Meanwhile, Star Citizen laughs and laughs at what you just wrote. "They said my kind of games don't make money, lmao" -

Kickstarter's now just short of $1.5 million, still not 8 hours in.
The fastest video game kickstarter in history, second fastest kickstarter period.
Amazing response to a legendary game maker. -

Kind of off topic here, but during a conversation with Chris ,when news of the new leak was first announced, I asked him about it, and he thought that it would have been an older version that POV has and not the newer version engine with all the fancy expanding contracting paths . ( it sounded like STI did not send the latest engine to POV)
So do we know if any of the builds have the travelling paths?
One of the features that I've always wanted to play with since the level viewer leaked.
JR, Cooljerk and you are doing great job in keeping us informed yet suitably teased. It's a huge stroke of luck that this fell into JR's hands as I can't imagine many could cope with what he's doing.
Any tease is accidental, haha. Not our intent. We're basically releasing these screenshots the second we have them. You guys are essentially seeing progress live.
