Sonic Cosmo Fighter gameplay footage
10 December 2011 - 07:54 PM
I wasn't sure if anyone had found and posted this on Retro yet, I did a quick search through the forums but haven't seen any topics related to it.
I'm pretty sure this is the best video footage we have yet of Sonic Cosmo Fighter. Correct me if I'm wrong. -
Sonic CD 3D: A New Proposal
07 July 2009 - 11:07 AM
I have found that there seems to be many people who are unhappy with the current progress on Sonic 2 HD, including myself. Some people have even suggested making a seperate project as a sort of "competition" for Sonic 2 HD. Well, here's what I have for you.
Sonic CD, remade in 3D.
Although this project would take much longer to do than Sonic 2 HD, and would be extremely hard to accomplish, the end result would be the a great remake of one of the greatest, if not THE greatest Sonic game of all time.
If you think that this proposal is crazy for coming out of the woodworks with nothing to show, then think of it this way: Sonic 2 HD started when someone found a cool picture of Sonic 2 with cool graphics. Someone then said "What would that look like as a real game?", and thus people worked on it. This doesn't seem to be much different.
There are many things that need to be decided first, like what engine to use (BlitzSonic?) and how, as well as "the soundtrack issue". But in the end, this could possibly end up being better than Sonic 2 HD.
So who's with me? -

Sonic Blast/G Sonic Appreciation Topic
20 June 2009 - 12:35 PM
When my older brother first got into downloading emulators and ROMs, one of the first things he downloaded (besides Sonic 2 Beta and Crackers) was a complete set of almost every Sonic game gear game. When I got around to playing them eventually (when he wasn't using the computer) I found out many things, such as Sonic Labyrinth sucked, the Drift games weren't my type of games, (although I did, and still do, enjoy them) and Sonic Blast was awesome. The game may have used some of the crappiest CG graphics, especially since it was on an 8-bit system, but the levels are gimmicky, the bosses are creative, the ability to play as Sonic and Knuckles, and long, challenging levels make this one of my favorite, if not my favorite Game Gear/Master System game.
But it seems just about everyone else does not share my opinion and hate upon it a lot. I mean, this game was made by the same people who made Sonic 2 8-bit, Chaos, Triple Trouble, and Tails Adventures. How many of you out there actually enjoyed this game too? -
