Segatoys PlayTV question
07 January 2014 - 03:10 PM
I got one of these things
http://segaretro.org...nds_MDV1_JP.jpg
PAL version, no box.
Do we have any modding info on these? Setting it to 60hz, fixing the psg volume, perhaps changing the internal rom?
For that matter is the internal rom dumped? -
Sonic & Knuckles cart PCB question
13 September 2012 - 09:09 AM
Does anyone have pictures of the S&K cart PCB with the cart slot desoldered and removed? It looks like some ID text is underneath that part, and I don't want to potentially ruin the only cart I have right now by removing/readding the cart slot. -
The Genesis Collective

Anyone has an archive of this site? It seems to be long dead now, but when it was alive, it had screenshots, covers, manuals, etc for all Megadrive games... supposedly. -
Which font is this?
26 January 2011 - 05:37 PM

Searching for "Saturn font" will only give me replicas of the main logo fonts, but not this one.
Even if no replicas were ever made, is it possible that Sega just used another commercial font for this?
Edit: I can do a rip of all the letters if someone can vectorize it. -
Someone please figure out how to demux these SFD files.

These files were taken from later-generation Saturn titles, which used CRI Sofdec, the same middleware format that was later used on the Dreamcast, and PS2/Xbox/GCN (with MPEG2 video). Much like the Dreamcast SFD files, they contain MPEG1 video and ADX audio.
The catch is: they all have TWO video streams. A low-resolution version intended for playback using a software mpeg decoder application, and a glorious full-resolution version, using the optional MPEG Card.
I could not find any SFD converters that could process these files. Any ideas?
