I don't suppose you guys could do the same with After Burner and Thunder Blade? It'd be pretty nice to have Hoot-playable versions of the "melody" versions of After Burner/Final Take Off, and the extended versions Thunder Blade/Type II/Burning Point.
(EDIT: Just noticed the ripped rom in the After Burner music thread, I guess it's just Thunder Blade to go...) -

And I think Sega Game Music Vol. 3 After Burner is the album in question.

I find is impressive that they took the original sound data that was until now only playable on a dev kit, and essentially made a sound ROM from is that *should* work on actual arcade hardware.
I wonder if it'd be possible to rip the ROM from the game files and make a custom MAME set? -

I believe this loss is directed entirely at Sega's consumer division. Last I heard Sega's amusement division still pulled a profit, and SegaSammy as a whole isn't in financial dire straights, so it's unlikely we'll see Sega sold off to somebody who knows what to do with it. -

I can't find a citation for this anywhere now, but legend has it when and Sega began to have their little financial crisis which changed what games they would concentrate on in the future a couple of years ago, Sega had to make a decision between pulling the plug on Bayo 2 or Aliens: Colonial Marines to save money.
Imagine how much less Internet butthurt would exist, from Bayo and Aliens fans alike, if the decision had gone the other way.
