I had problems with SSF at one time and run Vista, but I will say that redownloading it changed that.
I'm not sure what caused it, and never had it happen before or since.

So at this point, Cassini is no longer the best emulator? I haven't kept with the times.

Yes; I think that anyone with a good processor should use SSF.

I tried installing another copy but still no luck. An error will pop up usually right after the Sega screen. Here's an example of one:

Found some references to source code. Will edit this post when I find some more stuff.
EDIT1: In VRAM.BIN, it has RINGS written out in ASCII. Can't paste it here, go look at it yourself.
