nothing huge but because no one's said anything so far, I will
Special Stage 2 leads to a "NO way no way" screen.. that I can't get out of
in Hidden Palace (which DOES play Lava Reef act 2 music) after beating Knuckles, instead of LR music starting up, his theme continues to plays until you walk over and actually SEE Eggman. At that point the boss music plays.

yeah pretty bare here, the only other thing I notice is that this is the first labeled "Sonic and Knuckles" prototype that actually has the S&K title screen and says Sonic and Knuckles when the level loads.

I lied, the one before it uses the S&K title screen but still says Sonic 3 when the levels load... I can't find a level select for that one ;_;
