No, that's not it, I've had this happen too, he reverts back as soon as you deal the last blow, like with a normal boss. Even if you get or already have 50 rings, you cannot become super sonic again.

That would be because the timer stops when you defeat the boss, but unlike in the final, doesn't start again, meaning you can't become Super Sonic. To force the timer to update again, use the PAR code FFFE1E:0001 (in Kega)

I finished the Bonus/Special stage sections, now I just need to add some notes about the little things the game does that don't really fit anywhere and I should be done.

(Ugh...Sonic Cult really needs a fixed layout for us 1024x768 users.)

I've been trying to keep the width of the page at a max of 1000 pixels, is it really that bad?
Edit: Ok I fixed the bonus stages section so it takes up the full 1000 pixel width, but seriously, I hate accommodating to 1024x768 users, you guys make up probably less than 10% of my user base

Well, thank you. It was more of a problem on the Special Stages page where the pictures aren't next to each other for comparison, and it seems like just a few more pixels would solve it. I understand, though, if only a fraction of your user base uses smaller resolutions.

Also, the footer says "©1999-2005."

I do.

Same here when I'm using my laptop - 1024x768 maximum resolution - which I am doing right now.

Me too, except when I'm using the laptop's widescreen.

Up until a few years back the main computer monitor only went up to that resolution.

My laptop's shooting out 1920x1200. For shame on the rest of you laptop users. :disgust:

I knew some of those second set special stages felt familiar when playing them. Good to see I wasn't wrong.

I don't understand how people can use 1024x768. Everything just seems so big and bloated. I like having large resolutions where I can have plenty of space for windows, and have a lot to see when browsing the web.

Well that depends on the size of the screen. I have a 15" monitor, so 1024x768 is the best choice for me.

Maximum resolution isn't voluntary, is it =P

Seriously though, I dunno how you all manage. I'm on 1280x1024 right now and even this I find restricting compared to 1600x1200, which my monitor sadly cannot do =(
