That does give me an idea... who says people who like Retro would like their forums to be the S2B ones? Not that I care, of course, but it does seem like it might be a point.

And if I'm 'mentally retarded' for disliking something, so what? It doesn't change what I've said.

Obviously the admins wanna do it, and they seem to want this disagreement to end. I'd be fine with the S2Beta logo being larger than the Sonic Retro one, then. Though, like Drx said, I find it sort of strange that this was initiated without talking to LocalH first, although he does approve of it now.

And I never expected you to be Simon Wai 2, LocalH. In a good way, not a bad way. If you were just his clone, then you wouldn't have any unique things to contribute except for more carbon copies of his old rules. I don't have any hatred towards the people who have done these actions, I just got angry at the vague wording of the earlier descriptions, and hence the actions they seemed to represent.

However, with the level of turbulence going on, perhaps one should update the original post with the exact wording you guys seem to be using now?

I would love to see it grow too, but the only people that even reguarly hang out in the forums at all anymore is well, nobody. I only occasionally spam the place with useless shit and everyone else populates the general screenshot thread. The place is just about as dead as Guess_Who's place (OH SNAP!)

Not to mention that the memberbase is composed of basically the same members as S2beta and a few others from I guess SSMB's forum.

I would love the retro forums to grow, but no one has done shit to make that happen.

I'm in favour of the thing. The two sites already have pretty much the same members and staff, so there should be no problems there. It might also encourage more people to contribute to the wiki.

I've been going to S2B (When it was SWS2B; surprise surprise people bitched about that name change too and staff actually DID change then) for about four years, don't treat me like I just walked in the door pls. I'm not new, I just don't care that it's getting a name change and a slight activity boost that it really used anyway.

SS is already an admin here. She's an admin over there too. Even if she hits S2B with a large, flabby arm of nazism you likely won't notice a difference because she's been here already.

Sounds like an interesting merger. As long as the forums stay the same, there is no reason to complain really. Only now there will be more information on the main site than before. What's wrong with that really.

(Also, I'm all for the merger. Sonic Retro is a great sauce of information, and to add it on to S2Beta will only increase popularity, and quite frankly it's the next logical step along the line, with other game information. Glowing cocks got that idea right, at least. :x)
