Hey, I remember this from its first topic! Put simply, and as everyone else has been saying, it looks glorious. I see so much beauty.

I don't understand the infatuation with making this into a genesis game. Wouldn't this run better standalone? And besides, that would ruin what is essentially a very beautiful piece of art.
And Zonik, I know you said "this year", but do you have some sort of guess as to when it would be released, and is there any possibility of a PSP port?

I don't think MMF games can be ported to PSP. I don't think they even run on macs. If they did I would have ported a lot of unreleased games of mine on PSP a looong time ago =P

Nope, I don't think this could be ported to PSP. Apart from MMF being windows-only, it has the capability of run slow even on high end computers

42% level splice or otherwise, this is some of the most impressive Sonic art I've ever seen. Awe-inspiring piece of work you've got there; I only hope the gameplay follows suit.

I must say I am very impressed with what you've got done so far. The art is simply beautiful. I hope you have some awesome music to go along with the awesome look it has so far.

That's what I had always thought but I was never exactly sure on what MMF was to begin with, so I thought I would check.
But hey, whatever works.

Well, you have to consider what the focus of this board is, it's natural it would come up. Anyway, nobody's trying to make it into a Genesis game (I think), but some of us were curious how it would look if it happened [probably because some of us wish we could make a hack look this good], so now we have a better idea of how it would look.
So, Zonic Spike... will you be releasing a demo of this at some point? What's done already and what still needs the most work?

Wow...how long did something like this take?
And does it happen to use Game Maker? My comp doesn't like to play GM games...tells me some crap that it can't load some graphic sets. But that's what you get when you have only 4 MB of VRAM...(No, that wasn't a typo. It is truly 4 [FOUR].)

Reading topics works wonders. It's been said many times that this was made using MMF2.
Anyway, excellent work so far. I just hope that the gameplay and music are up to the same standard as the graphics. It'll be a shame if they aren't, but I'm confident this will be up there with the best fangames.

I'm really excited about this. I've always resented Sonic Team for not making a Sonic & Knuckles sequel, so it's good to see someone with obvious talent (judging by the artwork) developing one.

I've orgasmed many times, the art is very good. I'm PRAYING you finish it, 'cause so many great projects were trashed, it's really a shame.

While it's true that MMF won't run on a PSP, it's technically possible to code a new engine from scratch for the PSP and only port over the graphics, sounds, music, and level design. I'm not saying this would be easy, or is likely to happen, and Zonic Spike would have to approve, but from a technical perspective it would be possible.

This game is my religion. Oh, and am I the only one who's reminded of the Black Comet levels of SHth from the screens of Cosmic Chasm?

Isn't this the second teaser topic? How about we get some actual demos instead of just screenshots which can make the game a lot better than it actually is to play. The art is freaking awesome though, it deserves someone to make a C++ engine, maybe Taxman's Retro Sonic if he ever finishes the dev kit.
