Oh... that's compressed art, I believe. I don't think it can be edited.

Wouldn't it be possible if you decompressed the sprites then edited them in TLP, then recompressed them and put them bak in the rom. Then just change the pointers to the art? (experienced hackers, please confirm)

Everyone is speaking about hex editing as if its some highly complex or alien like thing. Its just simply a way to modify a file. Maybe you can find a small program to decompress the art. But still, its actions may still be hex operations when it comes down to it. Doing things in hex may be a huge and tiring task, but there's plenty of automated programs with menus and GUIs that do it for you don't forget. Do you think we write programs in hex? No, we'd sooner write a program to do stuff for us and then work from that.

Same old Damn thing( an exception of the level lay out) :P
It is called that because:

Canon's Core
After wreaking the Death Egg, Dr. Eggman tries and goes for a last-ditch attempt to destroy the world be firing the cannon from it's core. Sonic is the only one who can enter the core(for some obsurd reason). He must stop Eggman fromfireing the cannon! However, Eggman has a new " toy"................

 I won't say what, but I need to find out how to edit the Silver Sonic Sprite. That is the only DAMN FUCKN HINT I WILL GIVE SO DON'T BUG ME ABOUT IT!!! Thank you.

OK, I have 2 problems.
1: When I try to save an edited tile card for Metropolis, it becomes messed up.
2: Uh, never mind. I have that problem. Can any one help me?
