First public contest entry? Before the deadline? I'll do this before I forget.

When I sent my computer in to get fixed, practically everything on my computer was erased. I knew I made backups of all of my hacking stuff, but I couldn't find it, so my hacking got lost in the pile of 100s of CDs without any label on them whatsoever. I gave up on trying to find it, mostly because I didn't have the time. So, I started searching for my old Flash(downloaded when PACHUKA unveiled "Sonic Wars" back whenever. =P) creator to give it a test run, and I came across all of my hacking stuff.

Sonic the Hedgehog DX

This is my main rom hack, and again, it's been nearly 3 months since I've done any work on it, so I don't remember what's been changed.

Sonic 1 Testing

This was where I would test out new code before putting it into DX. I think this is the one with the interesting debug. Try debug in either Green Hill or Scrap Brain. If memory serves, which it doesn't, this is the one with that lights out feature in Labyrinth Act 2.

Shadow DX

This was a time killer, which literally killed the time that I could have spent working on Sonic DX. It's got a perfectly set up double jump, which even changes based on whether you have the speed shoes or if you're underwater. After images are also there, courtesy of my long-MIA cohacker, Jenna. I'd give her the credit for that, but I have no idea where she is or if she's even still alive, cause I haven't got any email back from her in months. Oh, yeah, don't try running up a slope with the speedshoes on, that'll cause the game to hang. I tried adding a 3rd running animation, and stopped trying when I couldn't get the rotated frames to work. It's also got a short and stupid intro "cutscene" in GHZ, which is meant to show that this thing's story was supposed to come directly after Sonic Adventure 2.

All three are zipped together to save me time. I hope they didn't corrupt.

Ah, I love this contest. People release their hacks which I have been eagerly anticipating (SMTP's, Cinnossu's, and Megamix come to mind).
Can't wait :D

Changed:
A lot of shit... Here's some of them:

- Sonic & Tails as playable characters.
- Different music for every act, for every boss and for every special stage.
- Different music for most events depending on the character (Super, invincibility, end of act, etc...)
- Sonic 3 sprites for Sonic.
- Extra abilities depending on number of emeralds; As Sonic with 1 emerald you get the spindash, with 2 emeralds you get the peelout, with 3 emeralds you get the highspeed dash (an instant spindash of sorts, press A or B to use it) and with 6 emeralds you get Super Sonic. As Tails, with 1 emerald you get the spindash, with 2 emeralds you can fly, and with 6 emeralds you get Super Tails. To go Super, jump and press A in mid-air.
- You keep your rings between levels, however, you lose them all upon entering a special stage.
- Once you beat all special stages, giant rings will instead give you 50 extra rings.
- A bunch of art edits.
- And a lot of other details that don't come to my head at the moment.

You never update your topic. I have little to anticipate cause I don't know what's going on :)
Don't do a private release SMTP. That's no fun for everyone else. You guys make these hacks and never seem to want to release them (Been like 2 years since we've had a demo of Riku_choa's hack, about 1 something years since Tweaker's, and about 10 months since Cinossu's)

2 years and about 3 months since my last release. And honestly there are no new level layouts. They are quite different than last version though. As Ultima says, no level layout is ever complete. :P

All the more fun when they do release it though.

EDIT: Okay, midnight June 31st. There is no June 31st! It goes June 30th, then July 1st. Is it the midnight before or after that day? Is it GMT?

First of all, I believe I said that entries must be E-MAILED. I'll accept PM at this point, but I hate digging through a topic to find entries. I might do it anyway, though.

Second, the answer is June 30th at 11:59:59pm MST (because that's where I live and it's easier on me that way =P)

Good luck, people!!! Less than twenty-four hours now ^^

I'd actually prefer to post my entry in here, if you don't mind. There's not that much to sift through, anyway.
