ATTENTION ALL NEWBIES:
Debug mode "findings" are not findings. Debug mode is not designed to be used in normal gameplay and is effectively a hack on top of the actual game for testing purposes. Do not post about anything you've found in debug mode.
I know this topic will be mostly ignored, but at least it's in a topic that people can read so we spend less time saying the same things over and over and more time doing useful things.

The beta isn't a full game. You're forced to use debug to explore it. Thus it falls off this warning.

Yeah if you find part of the level that is hidden normally through debug that hasn't been spotted that's cool, but glitches caused purely by debug mode or doing things you shouldn't do are pointless. Unless they reveal something significatly interesting.
Pin plz.

This should be in General Sonic games, as beta/debug discoveries aren't E or RE.
Then it should be pinned.

I dunno, the 3-d balls and the surfboarding intro objects were cool... But it's common knowledge.

I agree. This topic needed to be made. We know crazy glitches happen in debug. It tends to happen, and almost always means nothing whatsoever (With the rare exception, like the likes of those crazy ass spheres in Sonic 3), so do not create topics pertaining to some weird glitch you made in debug.

I agree with this. Debug mode makes a TON of glitches come up, varying depending on what part of the game you're at. While it might be nice to have one topic about the more interesting debug-induced glitches, I think the board should largely be kept free of debug-induced glitch topics.
In S&K, for example, anything (including debug) that can get a character into a part of the level they're not supposed to be is bound to cause some glitches. And if I see one more 'OMG EI FOND TEH GILTCH' topic, with something like "press B on the rotating cylinder Sonic 3 causes freeze", I think I might scream

True, Debug mode can cause some really interesting stuff to happen in a game. For example, in S3&K, I was messing around with Debug, game freezes, start a game in level select, and all of the sudden I'm a blue knuckles, have Sonic's life icon, and it says Tails beat the level all the time for like no reason. Really cool, just wish I knew how I could do that again.

You are also forced into debug for exploring the remnants of Hidden Palace in the final Sonic 2, IIRC, not that there is much of anything woth exploring there is another debate, but debug was still needed for this.

Yeah, only thing I found REMOTELY interesting about that is if you go into debug mode and go to Hidden Palace, then leave Sonic idling a while, he'll use the 'unused' waiting sprites of laying down. *shrugs* And THEN it's probably just a tripped glitch.
