The guy who purchased this disk is paying OVER $2000. If he releases the data on the disk, it will DEPRECIATE IN VALUE.

He will have effectively LOST MONEY. It's like throwing money away!

Well... Not neccessarily, take this as an example:
NWC auction
This has been dumped a while ago and there's many of these cartridges in existance.

This guy could still make a lot of money even after releasing the data, but anyway I think it's time to move on and be thankful that the buyer is at least going to show us a high quality video of this demo.

Please note, that those details are of Ratman's ISP, not Ratman himself.

EDIT: Clarity.

EDIT2: According to Aurochs this is an open proxy, so it's useless :P

An officially-produced contest prize is a lot different than an internal generic CD-R. Once that CD's data is out there, there isn't anything else for a collector to "look for." With Nintendo World Championships, you actually have a pretty nice looking official cartridge that can not be properly duplicated at all.

I'm not trying to downplay what you're saying or anything, ICE, but I know what I'm talking about here. I can give you some solid figures if you'd like.

ICEknight was right, I did do this for revenge. It was the Perfect way to bring Chaos to you all by screwing your chance to gain Sonic X-Treme.

I got the last laugh here bitches! (The S2B forums really shouldn't of banned me before. If you didn't you might have bought SXT....oh well your loss, not mine.)

With that being said, fuck you all and I hope you all die!!

P.S. Please relay this message to the S2B boards!!!

As if it's worth having for any purpose other than to show off.

Hollow laugh, PC.

Perfect Chaos? I remember the guy, I made some palletes for him once, and he then he was apparently stupid, but I had left for a year by then...

Though is it an impersonation? After all, the AIM names seemed to just be some random person from other posts...

Hey guys, don't feed the troll.

Well, this is a lose-lose situation. We don't get the X-treme demo, and the seller would've got the max amount of $$$ had we not been distracted. Perhaps this kind of things should've been arranged privately among the trusted few.

And leave TheRedEye alone. I didn't see anyone demanding things for free when some rare item popped up on eBay, so why different this time? Utopian fantasies should be posted in the other topic...

Well, I did email that woman collector who bought the Sonic 3D flash cart, she only replied to me a couple of times though... I should try hassling again, last time I tried was in march. Though I'm guessing it probably wasn't anything special.

Anyway I think we need to evaluate how we deal with these situations. A couple of problems I noticed was how slow we were to react, and how we were all panicing and scrabbling for cash. I propose to solve this we start a Beta fund. So we can buy protos as soon as they become avaliable (obviously after checking they're not hoaxes).
