I didn't feel like reading every single reply, but from what I saw, nobody mentioned the Wing Fortress thing. You didn't know why they changed the Y position. I'll tell you -- you can hit the star posts multiple times, and I think it also has trouble saving your position. Experiment with it a little bit and you'll see what I'm talking about. It's the same problem I had in my Coastal Valley hack.

EDIT: I didn't know how old this way until just now. Someone must have bumped it before me or something.
