Advance sprites + Genesis style = no.

The first screenshot is fuckin awesome. However I have to agree with Tweaker, advance sprites just don't go with the Genesis style. You did pull it off nicely though.

I think it looks great. Its not nice having the genesis sonic all the time, nice to see a different style for once.

Keep it up

Looks good, I personly think that Advance Sprites semi-fit with Genesis level art. BTW you should add a Sonic copyright Sega thing so the host doesn't get picky with legal stuff.

Mettrix. Yeah, I'm making my own. My entries for the "International Badnik Contest" are going to be in there. I just put that there because it was a sprite I had in the meantime. It will not be in the SAGE demo.

I made a DLL in VC++ 6.0 for Game Maker that processes all the physics and music stuff. The level design and sprites are placed in a Game Maker file because I didn't want to write my own level design enigne, too lazy ^_^.

I have made it so you can select what sprites you want, Sonic 1, 2B, 2, 3&K, Advance or Xtreme. (Xtreme's just the side view.) So there.

So you like the advance style, then?

Ah, you really don't.

Heh heh... that's true. You can specify now, though, so it's alright.

Could you show us how some of the other sprites look in the area you have in your first screenshot?

This level may not be featured in the Sage demo, but the blue one will.

A little bit of trivia-the first level's graphics (except the BG) were designed using only 7 shades of blue. Also-the level's graphics were ever so slightly based off a level in Sonic 2-which one? First one to get it gets an early demo!
