I think it's a good idea to have a record...

I think all those were found by either Esrael or Nemesis.
By the way, there are two enemies missing in the "lost sprites" section... well, sort of.
Look at this screenshot I took some time ago from one of Esrael's hacks:

As you see, there were originally two different kinds of seahorses in Oil Ocean, either of which behaved differently.

The other missing enemy is the octopus, which was supposed to fire at you and then fly away very fast. It was reactivated in Esrael's Sonic 2 Delta, too.

EDIT: Hey, I see you're using the triceratops GIF I made. I'm glad you liked those colors, hehe.
Did you find it at my "experimental" Spanish Sonic Database?

I mean, just the enemies. The background objects and monitors were found way before, by anybody with a tile viewer... They're pretty easy to find.

Ah... I see.

Yes I saw the octopus on Esrael's site. I figured normal OOZ has a similarly looking octopus, and I'd do more research to see what it's all about...

Actually, I found it on the Cult :P

Kurairyu: Holy, you remember all these. Thanks. I should've known about the lamppost, because I knew it's right there in debug mode.

It was actually Knuckles PRower that found those sprites... The Eggman Dumping goo on himself. ^^ Hhe.

Most of those sprites were found before I arrived. The only one I can lay claim to is the fireball I think. BTW, for a complete list of every section of lost art in the rom, check my S2B hacking guide at http://homepages.ihu...au/~nemesis2k2/

Look through the address listing (it's long, I warn you). All compressed art that is unused has a red dot placed next to it's name. All layers of leftover data are indicated by the colorisation of the location numbers. There are a good deal of lost pattern blocks that I found remaining from S1 which I never bothered announcing because they were the same as thier S1 counterparts. They are located in one block after 7F80A in the rom.

Woo. n_n; Eggman sprite was mine, by the way.. Still gots the original pics I posted of it, before we worked out what it was, somewhere. XD

Yow, I didn't remember some of the stuff there, though. x.x; Methinks I should check up on discoveries and stuff more often.

Thanks Nemesis. I've read (part of) your hacking guide a couple of times, and that's where I got the addresses from.

One question though, how come you don't have a link to your art decompressor on the site? Or is it there but I just couldn't find it. (I managed to get it in the SC archive as you told me)
