Google Play Store - SONIC DASH CLUB

So I've installed this thing and it isn't a party game like I thought, but instead a strange Japanese only spinoff of Sonic Dash published in May. Obviously my understanding of the game is rather limited, as I don't speak Japanese. You have to go through a few dialogs before it lets you play, which was a pain. Level wise it's the same as Sonic Dash, but the time changes seemingly randomly (Seaside Hill in sunset just looks... off), and oddly enough the pearls from Secret Rings are scattered around, same sounds and everything. When you start it picks a random area with no way of switching. Every 500 or so metres Sonic speeds up too, but that might have been in the original. When he reaches the springs they either have "danger" signs or "loop" signs. Danger springs have a sign with a yellow/black background and an image showing what the next "stage" (every time you hit a spring your stage increases) will contain, either bombs, enemies or spikes. Loop springs have a sign with an image of the a loop and in the corner have an image of either rings or pearls, which the next area will contain more of than usual. When you hit the spring your rings are not banked and there's no way to gain points (actually I've not found any way to bank rings, which are all lost on death) There's a map screen where the character can seemingly advance but I've not found a way to get it to do so.

Oh yeah, and it has 10 "lives" in one sitting before you have to buy some more, and always on DRM... why am I not surprised. On the plus side though, it runs better on my HTC One (M7) than the normal Sonic Dash.

EDIT: Disregard my stupidity, this is just a rerelease of Sonic Dash S (a Japanese exclusive). Regardless, I've not seen any topic discussing this before.

Sounds like Sonic Dash S, that other Japan-only version of the game that SEGA pulled the plug on a while ago.
