Sticks is the most expensive? Oh wow what is this reverse pricing or something? "Hey guys least popular characters cost the most so you really have to like em to buy them."

They'll have done some research into this; I guarantee that the reason Sticks is the highest price is that more people who like Sticks will pay for her than people who like Knuckles will pay for him.

Sega's Mobile Strategy: "Does it have a collectible Death Egg no one can seem to acquire? " "Nope." "Great. It'll sell. Run it."

I also did a play session of it, though the quality only is at 480p. After playing it for a while more, I feel like the difficulty ramps up considerably more than it did in the first game. With the layout being more or less linear this time, I feel the hazards are easier to see coming, but I it gets crazy to quickly. I was able to use a Sprite during one of my runs which seems to replace the modifiers you got in the previous game, and I really like the idea of them yet I was disappointed to find they were a one run item. Overall I think the game is decent to alright. It has less features and spectacle than the original, but it's not horrible.

So, if any of you looking over this thread want to take a stab at running this:

https://drive.google...NVgxb1dqMThPN1E

SaturnPhoenix over at Stadium uploaded the apk and the necessary files if you want to install it as an off-market app. As we've seen with Runners soft launch, progress carries over. 0.1.0 is the current version, so it's very early in its semi-public release and it may not run or look well.

If anything, those of you that play can help sculpt the game as guinea pigs for SEGA for the global release. Certainly helped with Sonic Jump Fever.

I wonder why this hasn't been soft-launched on iOS yet? I'd honestly really like to give it a go when it becomes available.

Game is in a even more beta state than Runners was at launch, it looks very basic - the game isn't anywhere near stable : I've had about 4 sudden crashes mid-run already.

It feels cheaper than even normal Dash, obstacles come a little to quick and with the games current lag good luck seeing the hazard and reacting before the game flings you into death.

I hate how some of the hazards are. I fine that reacting to death pits are rather finicky, having had most of my deaths to them. The other hazard I absolutely hate is where you need to jump and air strafe around a pillar. You just don't seem to get enough air time to maneuver around them and die.

It seems I'll have to wait to get the game as I have to yet buy a phone which supports such games... I won't criticize it but it doesn't look THAT promising, and the fact there is a "Sonic Boom" name just makes me want to avoid getting it.

When Retro's Facebook and Twitter announced this a while ago, I legitimately thought it was going to be a joke article. It also didn't help that it said "Stealth Released", and while I should have realized the wording didn't mean Stealth was somehow involved in said joke article, my brain thought that was the case anyway.

I WAS SO WRONG ON MULTIPLE LEVELS, AND WHY ISN'T THIS ELECTRONIC DREAM CATCHER WORKING.

I guess Soft Released would have been worded better, as it's a soft launch, but it was also never advertised as existing before, so I called it a Stealth Launch. :v:

Makes a lot of sense, when you put it that way. :specialed: On topic with the game itself, the idea of a "Sonic Dash 2" kinda threw my mind for a loop, although I'm not opposed to the idea of essentially a Boom Runners mod. Sticks has managed to grow on me, and I'd like to play as her in a 3D space of some kind.

Highly doubt either my tablet or phone could handle it, sadly, and I'm already deterred knowing Sticks costs the most; great way to punish a small following of fans. I got burned out on Sonic Runners for all time trying to unlock Blaze, (Recently uninstalled the Win8 version with no regrets.) I'm not doing that again, nor would I validate their scummy move by throwing real money at the game.

Seems to me it's better to be a Sonic fan on your Nintendo handheld more than your phone or tablet. I recently re-bought Sonic Rush, and collected the whole Sonic Advance trilogy, that's all I probably need on the go.

I just find it baffling that someone out there thought it was a good idea to make a sonic dash sequel based on sonic boom, someone in a suit said yes to that.
