Every year since 2011, I've spent June 23rd marathoning Sonic games. Last year, I streamed it for the first time, with hilarious technical difficulties (as the end of the above video shows). This year, I'm doing it again, and incorporating a fundraising drive for TGC.

I'll be playing: Sonic 1, CD, 2, 3 & Knuckles, 4 (Episodes I and II), Adventure, Adventure 2, certain levels in '06 where I can avoid other characters, Unleashed (daytime), Colors (main stages only), Lost World (ditto), and ending with Generations. This may take a few days, or I might get through it all in one...

The stretch goals are listed in the video, as well as the description. All proceeds will go directly back into improving the channel. Additionally, each game will have "bonus goals" associated with it. I've also got some Skype call-in guests lined up, including the marvelous gent who makes those Sonic Spitball videos, ShayMay, and our own Covarr. I'll be starting just a few minutes after I post this. Hope to see you there!

Lovin' the stream so far; joined in at around Star Light Zone. Sonic R was hilarious!

Adventure

Just steer clear of the Steam version. Although not ideal, even the PS3 and 360 versions would be better. I mean, unless you like a blurry game with no D-pad and double speed Sky Chase. In which case, go right ahead :v:

What he really wants to say is you should use the Fixed Edition mod. :v:

But seriously, I watched the stream all day, it was very entertaining. Tomorrow should just be Big's Fishing Derby all day.

Day two is live now on Twitch, and here's a playlist of Yesterday's shenanigans.

That was a fun time, even if it ate up my entire day, and you didn't play ALL THE MODS. I might watch you stream again sometime.

In some ways, the whole time zone thing was disappointing. Shay had the funny cranked up to 11 the entire time he was here, so it was really sad when he had to sign off much earlier than everyone else. Not that I blame him at all, but I certainly hope to have him around for future streams as much as he is able.

The stream was really fun. Thanks for letting me be a part of it. :)

Streams are always great. Why avoid 06 characters? You not fast enough to master them all? :v

Eh, I ended up playing all of Sonic's stages, anyway. Though I did use the purple gem to avoid Silver in Kingdom Valley as a matter of principle.

Couldn't have said it better. But hey, I do appreciate you staying on the whole time! I'm still freakin' exhausted, haha. It's weird how much that takes out of you, but I suppose I was trying to keep my energy level up for almost 12 straight hours, so it makes sense.

Day 2 is still processing, but soon, all 20.5 hours will be up on TGC Classic. Here's day 1, since Covarr's link earlier didn't seem to work for me. I'll have to check this one, too... linking playlists is a bit weird: https://www.youtube....1sghSsbfpwcZOzT

This was so, SO much fun, and I'm looking forward to streaming more regularly from here on. I'm glad you guys enjoyed it!

Edit: New playlist, featuring both days: https://www.youtube...._j7eN-evxcJah24
