Did a post about it here: http://segabits.com/...-vinyl-release/

Streets of Rage soundtrack will be remastered by Yuzo Koshiro. Both vinyls are being officially released by Data Disc, a new London-based record label that will deal with video game soundtracks. Pre-orders go up on May 30th.

They could have used the Japanese artwork, for the Streets of Rage one...

If I remember correctly, last time a Streets of Rage soundtrack was released, it sounded a bit off due to emulation. I wonder if Koshiro will be using an actual Mega Drive 1 this time.

Considering how much fun he's having with chiptunes on real hardware lately, I'd say he'll probably use the real deal.

Any ideas for a non-UK person could pre-order or obtain one of these? :v:

Damn, how did I miss all this awesomeness? :O

This brings another possibility, which would be to have them recorded from the computer where he actually composed them, which happens to be this one here (I remember him mentioning it when talking about Sonic GG at the old Ancient forums).

Yeah, "old Ancient". =P

He even uploaded a full version of "Up and Up" - featured on the SoR1 OST but not in-game itself.

Turns out it's actually an extended Violent Breathing!

I got some updates:

Its going to cost £20 each (30 usd) and each version will have 3 color pressings:

Streets of Rage:
- 180g translucent red vinyl with black splatter (exclusive to the Data Discs website)-
- 180g translucent red vinyl
- 180g black virgin vinyl

Shenmue:
- 180g translucent blue vinyl with ‘colour in colour’ effect (exclusive to the Data Discs website)
- 180g translucent blue vinyl
- 180g black virgin vinyl

The best package will definetly be Streets of Rage since it comes with two lithographs (one Western cover, the other Japanese) and early bird pre-orders get 5 cards featuring character artwork and 'hand-stamped envelope'.

You can also listen to samples of the Shenmue vinyl remaster on there soundcloud (Streets of Rage tracks coming soon):
https://soundcloud.com/datadiscs

They have also said they will do international shipping on pre-orders on their site, so if your not from the UK. They have also confirmed that they will be pressing all three Streets of Rage vinyls.

Fuck. Yes.

I've been getting into both vinyl and SEGA soundtracks lately, and I will sure as hell pick up that SoR package.

Great news, especially the Streets of Rage one, I have always been a great fan of it.

Speaking of which, I recently stumbled upon this remix of a Streets of Rage 2 tunes on Reddit.

Thanks for the heads up - I know someone for whom the Shenmue vinyl will make a perfect birthday gift, and his birthday is in September!
