Here me out, I think with a little polishing we have a more solid looking engine than Generations. Maybe I'm just going off of how the camera moves. But I really like that aspect, that's what stuck out to me.

So with some polish this is better than the Havok and Hedgehog engines? Really?

Obligatory "Hedgehog Engine is just lighting, nothing more" post.

I know. I already went over this with Gerbil in #retro. Do I need to say the Hedgehog LIGHTING Engine or something? :P

Clearly we need to go back to games that don't have an engine at all, like the Genesis games. amirite

If you're clueless enough to use "engine" as a marketing buzzword instead of the correct meaning, don't bother replying.

Didn't the Genesis/Megadrive literally have an engine inside it, powered by coal and the salty tears of Super NES owners who were jealous of the Sega platform having Road Rash?

Only Model 1s. By the time of the Model 2 they'd figured out how to extract the necessary power just from the power brick. =P

This looks like an uninspired three-way between Sonic, Marble Blast Ultra, and the 2D platforming challenges in Muppet Racing on the PSX, while also stealing assets from it. (The Stars are a huge giveaway.) Let the joking and sarcasm continue about this, I guess? :v: There's really nothing else I can think of to talk about this, other than be annoyed that Steam allows this trash to exist in the library.

Someone want to mod this so that the ball is classic Sonic curled up in a ball and that the stars are rings?

I know it doesn't look very nice, but it actually plays pretty well. I've run into no collision glitches whatsoever, the controls feel very good and the ball has a nice sense of momentum. There are some level design sins that crop up inbetween areas 3 and 4, and the second to last boss is just bad, but aside from that there's a decent base here. It's only $4 and was probably built by one person. I say pick it up. It's way better than S4 E1 IMO

Nonono, put Silver in there and make it so every time he goes over a booster he says, "Looks like I'm on a roll!" Use the voice clip from '06.

The way that the camera and levels twist around Remind me of the game Pandemonium ( Magical Hoppers in Japan)
