Chrono Trigger PSX eboot? I can't find one; converting doesn't work

I've searched the internet for a Chrono Trigger PSX eboot, but I simply can't get a good one. TheISOZone appears to have one, but apparently its file host is bork (Cloudstor.es; it won't download the file). I've tried converting it myself, but to no avail. I've been using PSX2PSP v1.4.2, and every time I try to run the converted eboot, my PSP crashes.

If anybody could help out with the conversion situation, or possibly point out an existing eboot that is actually tangible, that would be appreciated.

(If it helps, I'm using a PSP 2000 with PRO-CFW 6.60 installed.)

If I may ask, any reason why you want the PS1 version? The added load times (even with emulation) are still pretty crippling, even with the bonus of animated cutscenes.

I want the PSX version because I just can't do SNES emulation on my PSP anymore. SNES9X PSP actually breaks my game experience quite a bit because the game and music just lag (and with Chrono Trigger's awesome tunes, that's just plain unacceptable). That, and it doesn't let me turn the system off.

PSX emulation doesn't do all of this, so yeah, I'd feel more at home with that version, even if there are load times.

I got this running... last winter I think? What happens when you try to boot it up on your PSP?

It'll launch, but after a bit of loading it simply goes to a black screen and crashes.

...Did you use a different program or something?

It sounds like it's trying to load the movie files but isn't catching them or they aren't present.

Odd, I'm using 6.60 POPS, so it should work fine.

Unless I'm misunderstanding something?

I don't recall any SNES emulator for PSP standing out as particularly fast. I sort of gave up on that myself back when I was still using my PSP.

As for making a PS1 eboot that will launch properly, you might just have to try a few other popstation GUIs before one of them spits out something you can use. As long as you can bear the loading times, Chrono Trigger should run flawlessly.

Okay, good news. I *think* I've found a good place with the PSN eboot.

Hopefully this will actually work. DepositFiles's download times can be painfully long, but I'm doing a couple things today, so I'll be able to wait.

I just got this one and I'm playing it right now on my PSP.

How? Every time I click "Download file" nothing happens. Could just be something on my end, but I can't be too sure.

Do you think you could upload it somewhere else, please?

Just use a different conversion tool. There's a bunch of them if I recall correctly.

And if it continues to not work, it may be your CFW that needs looking at.
