He sat down and talk to us about working with SEGA, keeping their IP and how the contract on the characters works with SEGA:

Ok, I was resisting for a while but I finally bit the bullet and upped my pledge to $150. I can't live without those vinyl figures! They did include a way to add them for $40 each but it turned out a better deal to go for that as for the extra $45 I'll get a mug, extra poster and t-shirt.
This is the most I have ever invested into a kickstarter.

I may have to do the same thing come pay day.

Wow, glad they're changing the artstyle. Never played TJ&E before, but the initial artstyle proposed just looked awful.

If we're being pedantic, Blue Blood didn't mention about changing the actual art assets, merely the "artstyle". Therefore you're both right and the internet wins a cookie.

Its the same art, but with a filter...
Perhaps so, but that filter goes a long way toward unifying the character and world art, toward giving the game a stronger sense of identity. Outlines and heavier saturation across the board are a good thing, automated though they may be.

Classic skins are cool and all, but...
We NEED the HYPERFUNK ZONE *alright*

I personally would manage just fine without a level that requires you to have jetfighter-pilot reflexes to actually finish the game properly. =P

6 days and about $70,000 to go.
Edit: Only about $20,000 to go! Looks like it's going to make it!
I really hope it reaches the PS4 stretch goal.

There's 45 hours to go!
I've backed the Homie tier, I need those figures in my life.
EDIT: Thought I should add that it IS funded with $7504 more than the goal of $400,000.

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1578116861/toejam-and-earl-back-in-the-groove?ref=discovery"]The Kickstarter is over reaching $508,637!
$500,000 was the stretch goal for the extra characters, so woop for anyone who wants to play as Earl's mum =P
I'm sad they didn't get enough money for consoles, but Gregg Johnson gives the impression that he wants to put it out for everything, so it may just be that funds gained from the game could go towards those later on.

Shall we be relieved that they didn't reach the $550K stretch goal? I have no idea who those guys are, but I don't think they worked in the originals...

Can't believe it actually managed to reach the 500k stretch goal! This last week has been crazy anyway, it rose up way faster, to the point of gathering 100K on the last 2 days.
Kawehi is awesome, if you don't know about her, I'll let this here:

It's actually thanks to this project that I found out about her.
