I don't think kids give as much of a crap, to be honest. They'd more likely go, "This is dumb." and erase the game.

Done deal.

You're right, most kids wouldn't care. They'd see how dumb the requirements are for cool stuff and move on. (My cousin does that for sure. He happily plays Warframe over Destiny because of the crap Bunjie pulled at launch.) I was probably in the minority of kids back then being fussy if a female character wasn't an option in video games.

So, that makes me wonder how many kids are tolerating this game on their tablets, versus the adults? Granted, a lot of them are probably more forgiving of the lag than we are here. (I was willing to put up with a white tunic on Link and glowing fire billboards in PJ64 years ago, as long as the game would run on my Win2000 PC at all.)

Just going to throw this out there. If you guys are keeping trucking through this and want occasional life boosts from me/are willing to give in return, we should add each other on the book of faces.

May as well get Retro dominating this game by their rules because I am a hypocrite or something :v: Gene Fujimori is who you want, can't miss it.

I somehow mustered up the luck to unlock Classic Sonic this morning. His bonus may be crap because distance bonus does fuck all, but it's still better than the other Hero characters. They get 50% while he get 150%. I shouldn't be this happy to unlock him really, but the guy still manages to have complete nostalgic hold over me.

Also I thought people said he didn't have any blurring on his feet while running? He's got the Lost World peel-out texture.

Is this what we're doing? Are we combining our powers to create a list of people on Facebook, like we have a list of Nintendo Network IDs on the Wii U thread or friend codes on the 3DS page? Because I'm down.

I'm thinking of deleting my file and reinstalling. I got pretty far into the game during the soft launch, but never really got anything cool (I got Espio right away, but eh), and I feel like I'd have a better chance getting Classic Sonic or Omega starting from the beginning again. Also starting fresh might make all the graphics appear for once.

You've actually got an original, fun concept on your hands here and, for the first time in a VERY long time, I want to see you succeed.

I want my royalties SEGA. My idea :argh:

On a more serious note--This game runs like ass on the iPhone 4s. Apart from I'm assuming RAM overflows which cause the crashing, everything takes so long. To get to the main menu takes nearly a full two minutes for me, and loading a stage takes just as long. For some reason ads are still broken for me; it tries loading 5 on top of each other which can cause the game in itself to crash. It's like the soft-launch ran better than the actual game on my phone. Anyone know of a way to transfer my old save over or was everyone forced to start over when the game launched?

I don't know which is making me laugh more: Sonic Warrior's "Trubbel Kepps you Rannin Fastur" signature, or this. What I don't know even more so is how you put up with this game, Josh; I learned my lesson from unlocking Blaze in Sonic Dash. You can clearly take more of a direct morale bludgeoning than me any day.

However, at least in Dash, I could have bought her and played the game happier than a dog running loose in Steak N' Shake's meat locker. It's dumb that Runners isn't cashing in on impatient players wanting specific things, which of course they're counting on to rack in more money from Red Ring purchases, or ad revenue from people trying to get stuff for hours on end without paying for it.

Maybe I should stop talking so bad about EA.

So, has anyone else not received the birthday event prizes yet? I was ranked at 200-something, so I'd have expected to get a bunch of Red Rings and 2 more Genesis buddies. What's happened?

We don't know when those ranking prizes are going up. Right now, I'm busy fending people off from my #1 spot in my ranking group.

Also I got Omega. That sucks. I don't care for the power characters.

I wasn't joking...

EDIT: Because that was misleading:

Yes, I'm joking.

So, somehow, I managed to get to test this on my Huawei Ascend P6 now. Never showed up in the app store before, but a link from within Sonic Dash allowed it, anyhow? Might just be odd timing, though.

Anyhow, it's a neat lil' thing to waste time with, I suppose. The reused Colors and Generations cutscene music seems a lil' odd and makes the whole deal feel just that tad bit more cheaper, but gameplay's pretty much what one'd expect from an on-rails sideview runner, I guess - not in a bad way.

Dat boss theme, though. <3
