At 1:12. I can see that maybe it was scrapped because it clashed with the style, but still, that's incredibly well animated and it's a shame that it wasn't used.

Definitely reminds me of a mix of classic and modern Sonic; almost Sonic CD-ish.

The amount of fluidity in the animation is freaking insane. All that clip did was just make me want a 2D Sonic game with HD hand-drawn artwork and sprites a la Rayman Origins/Legends even more. :(

Bingo, you got it right there. Sonic needs more of that now a days. The silent, cocky, hero of yesteryear. That animation is just awesome.

Too bad we have to go through a bunch of ME reels to get to that footage. I'm gonna ask if he can upload it separately.

Don't worry, lots of Youtube users will upload it separately and without giving the artist credit. :v:

Also, the video is actually 3 years old at this point, it's just that nobody noticed it up until now.

Forget the Sonic stuff, this is my favorite Mass Effect porno to surface yet

It did look great though. I'm sure if that got past concept the characters might be touched up to look more on-model and really look fantastic.

Wow. That was actually amazing. A good blend of Eastern and Western Sonic, if that makes sense.

Imagining a good minute-long intro looking like this would almost put Production I.G's Sonic Riders intro to shame. (I say 'almost', because I do love the shit out of that Riders intro)

Joel MacMillan clarified some stuff in the comments of the video:

Hey guys, thanks for the positive feedback. That Sonic anim sequence was a blast to work on! It was a personal project a couple of us took on in our free time as a sort of love letter to Sonic and 2D animation! I'll see if I can dig up the fully scored sequence... but it should be noted that it's not officially represented by BioWare, it was a 'personal project' that we partook in.

Personal project or not, it's still badass. Who knew the best thing to come out of that game would surface six years after its release?
