Out of curiosity, what are those models good for? Are they for levels, characters, items, or what?

Probably not, unless someone else is willing to host it 24/7.

It wouldn't take that much bandwidth and I have a Linux server going mostly unused right now. I would be willing to host but I'd need to research into a server software that supports PSOBB and Linux. The only server software I'm aware of that's still under active development doesn't yet support PSOBB but does support PSO v2 so if anyone can make suggestions as to alternate software that could be used I can work on making it happen.

PSO Tethealla Server Project
They're back in action, apparently.

Cool, it's a shame the server software only runs on Windows though.
I should be up and running with this within the next few days, I just need to spin up a VM on Azure and configure everything.
Neo: Could you pm me a download link to your modified client version, if that's what you wish to be used on this server, I can work on testing and setting it up.

Excuse the double post, but the server is up!.
Currently there is no interface for creating or managing accounts, so people who wish to play will need to PM me and I will create them an account manually. This will be rectified with the development of a web interface in the near future.
I haven't had the time to draft up any rules or proper welcome messages, but the game is playable. It goes without saying that it is expected that users play using legit methods, no cheating tools, etc.
The client can be downloaded here.

I downloaded the client, but I think that I'm going to just wait until you have the web interface set up. I've got a lot of stuff going on at the moment, such as college finals, so I'll wait until I've got that taken care of and I'm not quite as busy before starting to play.

Has there been any progress on that web interface? I finally am at the point where I have enough time to play, but don't have an account. I know you said to PM you, but I thought I'd ask about the interface part as well.

Yeah, I'd be interested in a web interface. I need a couple of accounts for me and my friends.

I'd consider it, but it's really hard to want to do so. After all, I logged over 200 hours on the old SCHT server, with a few characters, eventually maxing to a Lv70 Humar Sonic. Yep, I was a Sonic.
It's only so enjoyable, I think by now I would need a consistent group who'd be willing to play. Some sort of Steam group that would be all like "HEY, PSO TIME" in announcements. I do that with Payday 2, and I have tons of fun.

I keep meaning to get another BBA for my Dreamcast and to start playing this again!
Last time I played this on my Dreamcast online was about 2 years ago and I was the only Dreamcast player on there I think lol.

I'm aware of PSOBB's connectivity, but does the server software support PSODC without crashing? I can easily recall PSO EP.3 needed a dedicated server from SCHT (though to be fair, EP.3 was a new game overall).
Wish I had a BBA, on that point. Don't have a clue about the DCPC stuff, not mentioning the depreciation of that stuff.
