Sonic R is a good game.

I think that the Sonic Retro staff generally agrees that Sonic R is the best game in the franchise.

Sorry I'm late, I just saw "PART 02".
Are we twin brothers or something? I had a tough time disagreeing with anything you said, like literally you appeared to have had the exact same opinion, especially regarding Chaotix and Sonic R!

I think most people would agree that, if S3+K is out of the question, Chaotix or R fight for next in line for a polished remake, part for now being harder to get our hands on, and part because fans would love to see their flaws ironed out and actually make them closer to the awesome games they could clearly have been.

For now, until SEGA finally settles every issue with that game. (And boy, will it take them time to do that!)
As for now, I'm rooting for Chaotix, Sonic Spinball, 3D Blast, SegaSonic Arcade and the Game Gear games to receive the Taxman treatment.

This isn't because of anything that you've done, but I couldn't watch the Sonic 3D sections properly - in recent years playing the game has started making me get motion sickness for some reason, to the point now that I can't even look at bits of footage without feeling nauseous (which I didn't realise until I watched this video) x_x The weird thing is, it was never an issue when I was younger, yet my mum's always had that problem with the game. Maybe we're just weird - or does anyone else have this problem? I'm just curious because I'm not normally prone to this kind of thing (well, I get travel sick on aeroplanes but that's about it, games aren't normally an issue).
I've always had this problem with Sonic 3D - I finished it once and that was enough for me - I remember being sick after completing Green Grove. The Saturn/PC version is less garish so I never had that problem with it

If Taxman's occupied there's also the groups who remade Sonic The Fighters and Nights for newer consoles. Since we got HONEY in the former my guess is some of them have a similar tender love and care in porting the classics.
Hey if they don't console release Taxman's stuff I suppose they could at least remake Jam. Enhanced Sonic World anyone? :D
EDIT: Forgot to talk about Tails Adventure. I agree it's a good game, it seemed one that would have been better suited to a bigger console however. The MD/Gens, which allowed for occasional save files and extra buttons would have maybe made a good choice. On the Game Gear, while pushing the console for what it's worth, it feels held down. You have only two buttons, meaning you have the tedium of pausing and switching between items endlessly for your one attack button (imagine having two or three, allowing for easier playability or even the potential for combination attacks) while remembering all those damn passwords is an irritance to say the least (thank goodness Gems had a save function). Maybe a good reason to put this on top for remake potential.

I would love to see a full Triple Trouble 16-bit remake, but I suppose that would be outside of the scope of Taxman's engine for Sega's purposes (not at all implying that it couldn't be done, of course it could. Just that Sega might not be up for it)

Yeah, totally agree, and that's why I said I wish we'd gotten a sequel or two. It's almost entirely unique for the series and a pretty fun game, but there are a lot of clunky aspects of it. That combined with the hardware limitations mean a sequel could've been really nice for it. Imagine how much deeper and polished it could've been if we'd gotten a Tails Adventure 2 on the Neo Geo Pocket or even the GBA.
What ever happened to Aspect, anyway? According to their Wikipedia page, the only game they've done this decade is Power Rangers Megaforce on 3DS.
...huh. Ancient is in a similar position, oddly enough. Made four games in the past seven years.
