Look at the track list, seeing how It Doesn't Matter and Believe In Myself are on there twice they probably put both versions on there.

From the powers of Rikaichan and my 2 years of Japanese studying... Massively tripping over Japanese, but basically the only info on the page aside from release dates of Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure 2 it states that we're getting instrumental versions of the character songs on these discs and a brand new remix of It Doesn't Matter from Jun Senoue. (it may also be saying that these are brand new versions of the songs? I honestly suck at translating, maybe someone can clean up what I slaughtered.)

That was from '12, so I'm really really going to doubt it. I'd say it's much more likely those were talks that fell through pretty late in negotiations for something else. Either way, Jun won't talk, and Hunnid P is in jail so we probably won't get answers on that for a long time.
