So I saw a listing for the above titled game, still sealed in its packaging, purchased it and it arrived this morning.

Took a few photos of it, then opened it!

Unfortunately it had some old batteries in and they had long since leaked, my first course of action was getting these out. Unfortunately due to the age of the device and the plastic being quite flimsy/brittle, I broke the pop out spring mechanism when figuring that out. Anyway I got the batteries out and bought new ones, put them in and yayyyyy it works! :)/>

I will sort more pictures and post here as soon as I can. May even try and record gameplay if I can play it properly.

I have wiki'd it (images still pending)...

If someone could please link it to the LCD subsection etc. that would be greatly appreciated.

Will do Ash. The game appears to be a sort of weird version of Breakout!

Also thanks to whoever linked the article for me.

ah, didn't see the topic's subtitle, had no idea it was a part of the pocket arcade series. I had a bunch of those, including an ecco the dolphin one and an eternal champions one, but never saw a Sonic Blast one. Please post pictures!

Sonic Blast (LCD game)

That is the page. You should upload pics of the LCD game in and out of packaging though. I never heard of this lcd game. I made most of the LCD game articles.

Yeah I created yesterday after talking to Black Squirrel In another thread. I aim to show pictures in this thread today. Will be tomorrow hopefully when I can add them to the wiki page - as I need to look at all the rules for that.

Well, here's a list of what would be nice to have:

Pic of the front and back of packaging. manual scan. pic of game closed and open, Scan of the game screen while the game is on to show what the game looks like. Then you can add a link of you playing the game on the bottom of the page in a external links section.

Looks good. If you got a scanner, a scan of the instruction manual will be good. It's kinda intelligable in the screenshot.

I'll try and do that, the scanner I have access to is quite old. Will see what I can do though.

Man, that pocket arcade line was such garbage. I remember they had an unusual amount of hype behind them for LCD games, too. Like an article in Gamepro and commercials, too.

I went looking for my Eternal Champions one today and couldn't find it. It might be lost in time :(

Should be noted by the way, that this has no Tiger branding on whatsoever.

Has SEGA branding all over it and has one note on the back about how 'Pocket Arcade' is used with permission of Tomy.

So I am thinking thst when it comes to the pocket arcade series, Tiger was maybe only involved with the entries in the series that were re-releases of the titles thst they originally made (I.e. Sonic 3 and Sonic 3D Blast)!

Tiger wasn't involved in any of them IIRC.
