a Sonic community powwow that was basically a giant snark fest. Like a bunch of war veterans getting together, telling war stories over drinks and a plate of some nachos or fries. It's the simpler things in life that are nice.

hahahahaha, by the time the end of the day rolls around, this is basically every Barcade =P

Was about to say the same thing myself - most of our tavern-related discussion is about the community over the years, which is actually quite refreshing to talk about with real people.

Like I said, I always enjoyed the other events going out with members from here or the other sites (and they're usually the staff members), like how Barry pointed out there was a Sonic community powwow that was basically a giant snark fest. Like a bunch of war veterans getting together, telling war stories over drinks and a plate of some nachos or fries. It's the simpler things in life that are nice.

Fuck sounds like my kind of party, guess I'm old like that but I have been forum hopping since 2003.

Chilled with him in the line with the gang before the show. Met up after Boom and hit up a cool pizza place down the street. Went back to FTA's hotel, got drunk and recorded a video, which will go online whenever FTA edits/uploads it (which, knowing him, will likely be late-2019). Been watching John's stuff since he first started on youtube, so it was nice to meet him. Very chill dude. It's sad to say but more people recognized him than some of the special guests of the event itself. Anytime I so much as looked at John he was getting a picture with someone.

Yeah poor John, sounds like he was bombarded every minute and couldn't really have a good time. next time he should just go incognito and not announce that hes going to be there.

A bit I forgot to mention, I was in line for the second Iizuka signing with one of the Find The Computer Room guys (forgot which one) and they asked Iizuka if Sonic Lost World utilized the Hedgehog Engine and he said yes.

Males sense. It had mostly the same visual style as Generations and Unleashed, only with texture details toned down/non-existent. That would make the engine a lot less top-heavy graphically.

That, and SEGA appears to be the only one using it since the plans to license it out and about didn't quite go so well. As far as I know, anyway.

Probably due to the middleware market being completely bloated right about now. :v:
