That should do well, actually.

This wouldn't be a good thing IMO. The iOS/Android marketplace is filled with clones like this that try to make money off of the success of other games. SEGA making games like this isn't helping.

I wouldn't really mind it as much if it was it's own take on the game, but Super Monkey Ball Bounce is just a straight up copy of Peggle aside from the addition of boss battles.

Yeah but Peggle's really fun

Not that I don't agree with you though - I don't think I'd buy this just because when you have Peggle there's literally no point. The Monkey Ball branding doesn't do much for me

I think it's great that they're doing this. It'll make the company some money to spend on games that aren't garbage.
It's like when they tried getting in on flash games.

They say Peggle's had it rather good - this certainly the first clone I recall seeing, and the formula's been around since 2007 (although Sega seems to think this is just pachinko so you could arguably say the formula goes back a lot further). Also the entire industry is built on copying ideas so it's hardly controversial that it exists.

However, it's a bit depressing that Sega feels the need to attach itself to this sort of thing. And of course it's ruined by the freemium model.

It sure is the first time SEGA IP is in a mobile game that is a rip-off of another mobile game.

Hence the "Another" in the thread title. :v:

Well, SEGA just says it's inspired by pachinko because they don't want to straight up say that they're copying Peggle. Also, while copying ideas is far from anything new in games, this just about copies every idea from Peggle and puts a different paint job on it.

Oh my god, that's fucking shameless. hahahahahaha

It's somewhat depressing that Sega's feeling the need to stooping to doing this.

Sonic Dash wasn't a shameless copy of Temple Run?

Sonic Dash actually makes sense in some way though.
