Am I the only person who never knew this was in the game?

All of a sudden, those ring placements make sense.

Known about it, didn't think it was a big deal. Then again, I almost never take that path.

I am in shock. I am in awe. I never knew that was in the game! Amazing. It kind of makes me want to boot up Sonic 2 and try it out. Awesome find.

I did know of this, but only because... Sonic Retro told me... a few years ago. It's like the pushable rocks/spikes/whatever in Sonic 3&K or the water-avoiding path in Sonic 2's Chemical Plant - it's almost as if these features were put in specifically to be discovered multiple years down the line.

This. Happened a couple times where I wasn't paying much attention and not jumping for whatever reason but I never go that way anymore anyway. I thought it was common knowledge but I guess not XD

The one in Oil Ocean does the same thing, but it just sits where it lands.

I knew about it because I found it out by pure accident.

Yeah, I knew about that one. You just need to completely miss the timing on a jump and decide to wait for the swing back and forth, and boom, you find it. =P

I thought everyone knew this.

What I like to do is make the platform fall off and jump to the higher path to continue the level as it falls off.

Yep. Knew about it. It's even on the mobile version.

Well, my mind is blown. That's completely tits, and I'm going to check it out for myself now
EDIT: Huh, in the mobile version, it doesn't really bob in the water, just floats perfectly as though it's a moving platform.
