Probably the only way we're going to get dumps of the rarer titles, such as Virtual Australia and the Myst prototypes.

Sure, just let me sell my spare NES Nintendo World Championship carts first.

I like the way I managed to miss three of those discs when making pages all those months ago.
p.s. this can be someone else's job to fill in the blanks - I do enough

What are the odds that the person that buys these agrees to dump them?

Probably slim, but no harm in asking.
I'd say it might be slightly overpriced anyway if you broke it down, so no-one may buy it. Myst is worth about $2000-$2500, Time Gal about $1000-1500, Road Prosecutor about $600-$1000, not sure about Virtual Australia, could be as high as $2000, and the rest would be not much more than $300-$350 and many of the common ones would be pushing it past $80-$150, so I'd estimate the real value to be closer to $10,000-$12,000

1 against to the amount of, as of now, publically available MegaLD dumping tools.

If I had $$$ to burn I would love to buy this. Being able to say you own all the Mega LD games is quite an accomplishment.
That being said cant retro do some sort of kickstarter or something to get the money to buy this?

No.
Couldn't even get a brass razoo for either of the Myst protos when they became available individually ($2400 and $2600).

I tried asking for 100$ so I can release two Saturn protos earlier, and a total of 1 person sent me 35$.

Unfortunate reality here is that donators don't come around for much other than Sanc.

Sega-related projects play second best to sports tape and steroid use at Sonic Retro (see: 4+ years of haggling to get people to edit our wiki), but stretch too far further afield and you get into hoarders' territory and bidding wars.
It's to be expected, although money spent on what turned out to be dull review copies could have gone to better causes. Then again, hindsight is a wonderful thing though I suppose.

The only thing you might raise $15000 for is a Sonic 1 proto with welcome signs and blue goblin things.

you know, this is not exactly the right place to be doing this... Raising funds for Mega LD titles should be done in communities that actually deal with the system. Or at least try and get this going in multiple places at once...

I just bought them myself all on my lonesone. They're currently with Nemmie.
I figured I might ask for donations when they get released, as a 'Hey, if you enjoyed this, send me a couple of bucks in appreciation, because I just spent about $10,000 on a Mega LD collection whose value is now set to plumet now that I've made them available for you to play for free"
