I'm on SCHTSERV Blue Burst as a RAmarl named Minuit. I wanted to break the last 14 years of playing this game by NOT being a Hunter for once.

Should have done a Force character since they get hilariously OP at later levels, but eh.

I personally would love for someone to somehow emulate a PSU server. I never got the chance to play PSU,

People are still working on private PSU servers. Unfortunately it seems like people don't have the time or money to maintain one. So people who work on one don't quite have the motivation to move on with getting a PSU server established.

I have my old level 127 HUmar "Tridus", who still has a bevy of ancient weird items acquired back when there was a such thing as PSO GC official servers.

Though, Dolphin's means of connecting to the internet is stupid, so I'm not likely to be online on SCHT much, though I'll try to connect sometime.

Like who? Everywhere I look, development has stalled.

The only people who are/was working one was the same people who made the English patch for PSO2 and they pretty much canned it.

PSO is my on-again off-again addiction. My little brother and I are holding out for PSO2's localization before we start going down that road again.

Sega of America hasn't said barely anything about the Western release of PSO2. I wouldn't hold your breath on a Western PSO2.

Yes, I've been following anything even vaguely related to the game's release. I know that they had a release month announced then when it was coming close they changed it to "later that year" and nothing's been said since then. Sonic Retro's own TimmiT's article over at SEGABits back in late December is what ignited my hopes once more: http://segabits.com/...-star-online-2/

If it turns out to be nothing then it turns out to be nothing, but personally I'm going to wait until around December until I give up hope entirely.

I will be very sad if they don't release it here. I stopped playing the Japanese version simply because of the possibility of it happening, and I would hate to learn that I wasted a year waiting instead of playing like everyone else. :( Then again I do have other games I'd like to get through...

PSO2 is supposed to be fully translated in English for South East Asia "early 2014", so there's that.

Source here.

Never played the GC version online due to a lack of a broadband adapter. Hopefully I can pick one up someday and give it a go, and it would be a good reason to dig out my actual Gamecube again too (been using my Wii to play GC stuff).

I'm in a similar boat, I have the GC Broadband Adapter and a copy of the game. But no Gamecube these days.

:(

It was pretty fun playing the game back on the SCHTHACK servers on GC, but everyone pretty much jumped boat when SCHTHACK supported PSOBB.
