Yeah I don't know Shinobi III that well...if they program a different control scheme in though, it technically is a new feature.
As would be not showing anything on the screen and calling it "Blind-Ninja Mode"!

I only just noticed the news about SoR.
Seriously... How shit do you have to be at that game to want to use a "touch of death" mode?
Admittedly I'm seeing this from the viewpoint of a guy who knows all 3 games in and out from playing them for 20 years, but... Wow...

Hence why it's not a "new feature" as they're advertising.

Cool, playing in 3d will be interesting but too bad there isn't a "Sonic & Knuckles collection 3D"

Did Space Harrier get any new features added at all? Either way the 3D effect will make it real nice!

Well my fellow 'murikans, the time has come. The first two 3D Classics are out now.
Me? I'm rocking out to the Space Harrier theme, thinking of Retro and our lord and savior Cinossu.
Meanwhile, I patiently await December 19th. dat Shinobi III.

Space Harrier is definitely out, and has joystick (arcade-style), d-pad (most home ports' style), and touchscreen controls. Super Hang-On doesn't yet seem to be out, oddly.

The Super Hang-On 3D interview is up. If you didn't catch the one for Space Harrier 3D posted in the topic in GSD, you missed out on a great read. I haven't read this one yet but I'm sure it's just as interesting.

EDIT: Looks like we'll be getting even more 3D Classics!

I've got my fingers crossed for OutRun 3D.

Got both of them on Friday. Can't wait for the next two this coming Thursday
I think the 3D effect in Super Hang-On is more prominent, but both games play great

I actually sent M2 a Google Translated e-mail and got a translated response from Naoki Horii.

Hello! This is Horii of M2 CEO.
Thank you very much for your encouraging message!
Your passion is one of the biggest source of our motivation.
As for Out Run, it is one of the title I personally would like to play myself.
I've always lived in Japan and when I was a teenager,
I used to imagine that the scenery of the first stage must be just
like the seaside road of California and I was dying to go there
sometime.
When the time comes for us to work on Out Run, it will be one of the
most serious project we've ever worked on.
We have to solve the problem how to assign 3DS processor power to
accomplish the beautiful scenery that astonished me.
Your encouraging message is very supportive for the team to face this hardship.
We will try our best to grant your wish, and most importantly,
it is very enjoyable work for all of us.
I would like to thank you again for your passion!
And of course, more people play our game, there will be more releases
for the fans to enjoy.
(We have already started working on the second series and we would
love them to be distributed worldwide too!)
Please look forward for our further releases including Out Run that we
also have passion just like you do.
Arigato!!
Sincerely,
Naoki Horii
M2 CEO
This is the bee's knees, wasn't even remotely expecting a response.
