I just thought of something... you think you could somehow squeeze Hyper Sonic into this??? It'd be the icing on the seizure cake for shit sure.
Oh the devious deeds I'd use this for if that one thing were in it. You, good sir, have no idea

I enjoyed it at first, but then I didn't wanna sit through all that text again after I lost a life. So there's that.

Thank God I'm not vulnerable to seizures.

No, seriously dude, you should put up a warning. Somebody could get hurt.

As for the hack itself, very amusing promises. I was expecting a stupid Creepypasta, but I got something much, much better.

Love the ending too! Great work!

So I absolutely love it Selbi, I got a kick out of the ending as well. You should totally make a full hack of this someday though. xD Or maybe spice up Sonic 2... xP Though I died by falling through a bottomless pit because I was distracted by the explosions. :v:

So... what do we do with 4E 4F 54, from the ending?

It's hex for "NOT", presumably he's saying the apology in the ending is a lie =P

Selbi should just take the ideas of all these mini-hacks hes done and produce them into 1 single mega-hack. it would make Sonic 1 a new experence thats for sure.

Aaaah, that's very clever. I was frantically trying to find a way to access sound test, thinking it might unlock something. But yeah, I've adored all of your hacks, man. As soon a GWolf posted it and said he was playing it blind, I paused the video and went to play it myself. Playing with a Michael Bay handicap was pretty damn challenging!

I told myself not to post this on Retro, as I didn't want to bump the topic, but whatever.

Would anyone be interested in a full version of this hack? You know, removing the fake crash screen at the end of GHZ2 and just going on with GHZ3 and the rest of the normal game.

Unfortunately, my code is more than fucking terrible. Because I didn't really take that thing seriously at all when I started working it, most of the stuff is not only unoptimized on a programming level, but even more so on an artistic one. Here's a random snippet from the MBV event handler. Now imagine plowing through an entire disassembly, modified with the mindset of only using GHZ1 and GHZ2. Sadly, this isn't just a simple two minutes job.

So I want to know if anyone would even care about such a thing before I work my butt over that. After all, it's not going to be much different to what the current game already has to offer.

It's a funny joke, but it definitely wears thin by the time the level's over. I wouldn't mind seeing one level from each zone represented, but let there be a level select so I wouldn't have to do the whole thing in one sitting.

Please don't Selbi. You can do far better things with your time. The hack is funny and complete in its original condition. From the signs at the beginning, to the game crashing; it all makes sense and makes its point. I'd say finish ERaZor with the final revision you mentioned you'd make and work on something new. A full-scale game of explosions and epileptic seizures would get tiring after the second level.

I'm with Knucklez. You're best off doing something different. Sonic MBV is alright as it is.
