I played sonic all stars transformed and noticed Arcade annihilation track music.
How is sonic retro involved in that, I would like to hear full story about it :)

Thanks

Little known fact: Prior to ASRT's release, Sonic Retro acquired Barack Obama's Magic Time Machine™ and went back in time to 1985 to compose the theme song of Space Harrier.

The more you know!

Aww, damn :(

Well, I always thought that it was retro's own song.
I am very dissapointed. My life is now worse and I am doing drugs for this... thanks...

It's been mentioned in the past that Retro's theme is the Space harrier theme. xP However I think it would be cool if someone
Spoiler
composed a theme exclusively for Retro. Then again, the splash screen probably wouldn't be the same anymore... :v:

did that level had anything to do with space harrier? I mean, I am not familiar with game.
Or was theme just chosen, because it is used as sonic retro theme O_O

Also, why Tweaker or Cinossu don't do it? :X

Space Harrier is one of Sega's most important arcade releases, actually. It was a 3D arcade shooter that had a big focus on art, music, and fast-paced gameplay and helped establish Sega of Japan as a major force in the arcade scene (though SOJ had some other hits before in Zaxxon, Turbo, and Hang-On, before then most of Sega's arcade hits were produced by/with Gremlin in the US) and laid the foundation for the career that made designer Yu Suzuki the legend he is today. Go play it, it's fun =P

For the record

Might have been one of the first video game tunes to have verses and a chorus too (as opposed to a ten second melody on a loop). But don't quote me on that.

If Hang-On came out before Space Harrier, as Andlabs is implying, then this track would predate it. Would that count? It does loop fully (which I don't recall it doing, but there it is, plain as day), but it takes a good 60 seconds to do so...

OK, I'm being a little cheeky because unlike Hang-On or Space Harrier this isn't an original tune, but yeah.

Sega always had the best damn middle eights in arcade music history.
