So Summer of Sonic won't be back for 2014.

With this in mind, it is after a lot of consideration that we have decided to put Summer of Sonic on hiatus for 2014. During this hiatus, we will take stock of the things we have accomplished with SEGA and then decide when we will be able to return for another round of Sonic excitement.

Sounds to me like they couldn't get the people they needed. Hopefully we'll see SoS make a triumphant return next year.

Yeah. Damn shame that it's not able to happen this year, but being aware somewhat of just how much effort goes into what is still basically a fan-run convention, I completely understand. Hopefully it'll be back soon!
