Okay, so I was looking at this page on Sonic Cult. Fusion's Chao editor allows you to easily get the Amy, Knuckles, and Tails Chao on the PC versions of SA and SADX. What I want to know is if there is a way to get the others as well. Including the obvious "glitch Chao" If anyone can help me out that would be great. Thanks.

Back when SA2:B first came out I had used an Action Replay to get most of the shiny character chao. What I had to do was create a normal shiny chao (normal non-color chao, but sparkly) then use the AR to turn it into said character chao, but the end result would be a shiny version of it. I did this to get shiny versions of the Tails, Amy, and Knuckles chao and I believe doing about the same thing should work with the PC chao editor. As for the Sonic and Shadow chao, I believe they're just normal shiny chao raised as speed/speed. No idea about the glitch chao or black reala chao.

Back in those days, I too used an Action Replay, but for the Sonic Advance games. There was a comprehensive list of every memory value of every single asset a chao could have, as well as instructions on how to edit it. Might be worthwhile to find that list and find the relevant values in memory for the PC versions. That way, any existing editors could be upgraded...unless they already have said functionality...which would make this a waste of a post.

Go for it. I'm pretty sure there's not info in Fusion's Chao Editor for that glitch Chao or some of the others. But if the Sonic and Shadow Chao are indeed just Speed versions of Chao then it's not exactly worth the time for those two. But I don't know.

I had a look at the Cult Page there, the Sonic and Shadow chao are just shiny chao evolved to neutral run and dark run, and then maxed out in the run stat. The reala chao is a two tone black chao evolved to neutral flight, and then maxed out in the flight stat. All three are possible normally, it'd just take some breeding to get a shiny/two tone base. I don't know what Fusion's chao editor is capable of though, but if it can do the basics, it should be able to make those three.
Here's a copy of said Chao Hacking document BTW

Okay, so I got a Dark/run/run type. The problem is, I can't seem to get a shiny version. If anyone knows the correct color, please let me know. Thanks.
Edit:
Okay I did some research. Here's what's happening:

In SA2B, this is what a normal Dark/Run/Run Chao should look like. With Regular coloring. In Fusion's Chao editor, I checked Shiny, and this happened:

I thought this was odd so I took the same Chao, exported it as a .chao file and imported it to SADX. Then, Just like before, I checked the Shiny Option in Fusion's editor and this was the result:

It's the correct color. So apparently, there's either something wrong with Fusion's editor or SA2B PC has some kind of different color coding for the Chao than the Gamecube version does.

The HD version of SA2B(regardless of platform) has a problem with Shiny two-tones that cause them to look brighter and have less color variation compare to SADXPC and the gamecube games. This has been well-documented over at the Chao Island Forums. As far as I know, no one has figured out what causes the discripency, though most assume it a glitch introduced by the HD versions being quick and dirty ports.
