"I sent a girl $1,000+ worth of Saturn stuff and she friend-zoned me!" The video!

If he doesn't at least get head for this, he's essentially been duped by her pretty face and her in-and-out-bits being all inny-and-outy.

I honestly have serious doubts that any kind of sex would be worth giving away all that stuff!
Anyone who thinks this would work to secure a girlfriend or even hook-up is severely disconnected from reality. Course, so is anyone who would put out in response to the present, so whatever. Chumps all round.

I couldn't sit through the entire video so this post is made with an assumptions in mind.
If this guy sent all this shit to this chick as a way to worm into her heart, he is the the most offensive kind of idiot. I don't care for 95% of the Sega Saturn library and I'm not into collecting games, so I don't care that she got all this stuff for free. But the idea that buying girls nice things and doing nice things for them means they're supposed to be affectionate in return is a notion that is supposed to die with your elementary/primary school idealism.
I hope he actually just bought this stuff and sent it to her as a fan of hers. Then I can just imagine that he's a member of the same Millionaire's Club that Andrew75 is a part of

This guy is deluded. You can't buy love. This reminds me of that video of the guy playing Team Fortress who begs a random girl who was playing the game to go out with him saying he'd gift her "Any game on Steam". I saw it a long time ago. Via NeoGAF I think. Same failed logic. Perhaps the girl is into videogames. Perhaps she's into the Sega Saturn. Who knows. Regardless this is not the way to entice a girl to go out with you. He must be young. Must be. I had the same thoughts and ideas when I was something like 15. Maybe 16. Desperate attempts to execute grand gestures thinking it is the path to a woman's heart. It is not. I found that once you get to your early 20s you realise that all you really have to do is say "Look. You want to have a drink with me sometime?" and depending on the response whether positive or negative you know whether she's interested.
I know it sounds obvious and basic but it honestly appears that no-one has told him this. A girl decides very quickly whether she likes you or not. Whether she would consider you as a romantic interest. Sending her Burning Rangers or whatever in what would have been a ridiculous parcel is not going to trigger the woman into suddenly wanting you. The gesture would either have zero or a negative effect. A more logical plan would have been to sell all of this on Ebay for say $5000 and then use that money to just hit bars and clubs with your circle of friends and find a girl that way. Who knows. Perhaps he's obsessed with this one girl and has failed in previous attempts. The point is gifts are not going to change that. Shaking my head on this one.

Like I said I couldn't sit through the video. The girl irritates me. But I don't buy the "oh I was just cleaning out my attic and found some stuff you might like" story either. If the sender's motivation is explained somewhere in the video, I missed it.

Apparently this girl gave this guy her address or these things wouldn't have got to her.

You miss out a TON of stuff in PDS if you grind it down in a day. If you go for 100% completion, it takes at least a week with 8 hours a day average.
No, I didn't. I got the light and solo wings, I found the evidence that our friend had died, I went back and opened all the chests that I wasn't strong enough to open before. I completed the game 100%, I've beaten it several times since and there was nothing else for me to do. PDS does not have 56 hours worth of content, at most it's 15-16. I also never died during my playthrough, not once.
Really? You also read all the storyline books you get ingame? Got 100% map completion? Didn't skip any of the cutscenes? Got "GREAT" scores on all enemies, including the rare hidden ones?
I remember that I could finish the first disc in a few hours when I really wanted to, but the last time I did completely immersed full playthrough, it was at least a week long.

GREAT? surely you mean EXCELLENT!!
I knew the specific title was a joke but assumed it had some basis in reality. I'm going to blame MathUser for this one, because his post was the first that treated the concept seriously. Come to think of it, I should have known it was fake in that case.
Anyway, I stand by my rage about someone giving this stuff away for any reason. They either had crap motives, or don't care about Saturn, or are rich enough that they could buy it all again. In any case, rage

I was actually skeptical that the guy was trying to buy her if you read my post more closely. The video never said she friend zoned him nor mention that the guy was attracted to her.

Looks like her page is gone. Takedown request? Maybe the friendzoned guy got revenge?

Huh, I'd totally forgotten about this. Weird that the page is gone entirely. Maybe she decided to stop trying to BECOME FAMOUS on the internet, and got tired of all the comments she was still getting? It doesn't say the video was unlisted or private, it's like the whole channel is deleted.

man I dunno about y'all but nothing gets me in the "yes I'm gonna have all the sex with you" mood than thousands of dollars worth of merchandise that I won't have the opportunity to appreciate or barely even store that's not being treated so much as a gift but as an obligation
