Hi everyone,
I have a retro-link usb adapter for my original genesis controllers that I use on my mac (OS X 10.6.8). When I try and use the thing with Kega Fusion 3.63i, it recognizes the controller, as in I can select it as the input method in the controller settings. But, when I try to define the keys for it, it doesn't recognize me pressing the buttons on the controller.
I go to controller settings, select USB Genesis controller as the input and click define. It then asks me to press the key for button to be assigned to UP. I try pressing up on the D-pad of my controller and nothing happens. It doesn't seem to recognize that I'm pressing a button. I've tried pressing all of the buttons on my controller, and it doesn't seem to recognize them as being pressed.
If I try to then go and load up a rom, it doesn't recognize any button presses from the controller and still only takes the input from my keyboard, even though the controller is selected as the input method in the settings.
I've gotten around this so far by using the GamePad Companion software to map the controller buttons to keys on the keyboard and then mapping the keyboard keys in Fusion's settings. But that won't work if I want to use two controllers at a time (my adapter has two ports for controllers). So I want to try and get controller input working without needing keyboard companion.
So, can anyone help me, please? Thanks a lot.
