I ripped all three GBA Castlevanias, and the first one (Circle of the Moon) has a ton of surprisingly high-quality samples in it.
I've just listened to it and I'm again pleasantly surprised with the results, it always bothered me how muffled the voice at the title screen sounded...
Which leads me to think that, perhaps, the GBA was originally intended to sound like this before Nintendo optimized the system's battery consumption... or that they were counting on the possibility of a new model that allowed for better-sounding samples (it sucks that not even the Game Boy Player does this).

Saved the SF2s for use with my MIDIs, this should be fun. =P Might see if I can pull some other soundfonts out from other ROMs, too.

Aha, I always had a feeling that the GBA's sound was being "stifled". Nice to give these a listen, thanks!

More stuff! These were kind of randomly picked depending on what I had on my hard drive
Fullmetal Alchemist
F-Zero Maximum Velocity
Gyakuten Saiban 1
Gyakuten Saiban 2 -- Like I mentioned before, this has a lot of GS1 tracks left over. GS2 tracks are after the sound effects
Gyakuten Saiban 3 -- Same deal here
Mega Man & Bass
Mega Man Battle Network
Mega Man Zero -- Despite GBAMusRiper not throwing up any errors, this one sounds really messed up. I think the order of things in the soundfont got messed up, so it might be fixable manually if anyone's bored enough
Mega Man Zero (fixed)
Mega Man Zero 2 -- This one seems to be okay however (keep in mind the SFX come first in both games for some reason)

Isn't sound mixed almost entirely in software on the GBA [and thus, played back at a shit samplerate because you still need some processing time left over for the game]? It's like playing back an .IT with high quality samples in a player at 11025hz or something.
Either way, this is brilliant.

Updated the front list with my stuff. Will add more from the thread next time. Working on Sims ATM.
EDIT: The Sims games don't rip. I'm not certain if they're Sappy or not either so I can't tell whether they should. Also, one of the best games to do a comparison between GSF and this would be LoZ: Minish Cap. They must have used some pretty fucking high quality samples because it sounds gorgeous right now...

Oh I verified yeah they're not Sappy. They use Griptonite Games sound driver... Strange. There are GSF rips for them (I have those).

I didn't notice the special directions to follow to get it to sound right on playback, so those Battle Network songs sounded pretty odd. Not ear-raping bad, but different than I was expecting.

Wario Land 4 tracks are missing some of the percussion from what I can tell, but I guess nothing can be expected to be perfect anyway.
Thanks for doing all of these! Now let's hear some of these MIDIs with new instruments. I'm trying but I'm pretty bad at mixing and getting good instruments and all..

Oh my fucking god, wow.
Listening to the MOTHER 3 soundtrack this way is almost practically like it's coming from it's N64 counterpart -- EarthBound 64.

I just noticed the Toy Block Tower song for Wario Land 4 sounds like it's got a fuller song in here than is played in-game. :o
Actually a lot of songs seem to have numerous renditions. Maybe I'm remembering wrong but a lot of them aren't used in-game I think.
If anyone could try to do Kessakusen! Ganbare Goemon 1+2, I'd like to hear that.

Mother 3's music was already pretty damn good. Listening to it in superior midi format with exactly the right soundfont is just awesome.

Perhaps we should work on writing drivers for the non-Sappy games?

Oh my. A lot of the conversions sound fuckin' beautiful. Especially the MOTHER 3 soundtrack.
Is there any chance someone could rip the soundtacks from Shark Tale and Ready 2 Rumble Boxing: Round 2?
