Really unsure why he can't just tell us how he did this in the first place as opposed to saying "LOOK WHAT I DID! I'll tell you how to do it later!".

I do wonder if it's being done as well to ensure it can't be patched out... if he leaves it long enough, Sega won't drop the money on a non-free patch.

So hey just reminding everyone that we do have an established hacking topic for SA2 in case some of you guys are doing some first day dicking around of the PC version tommorow.
Even though Mainmemory told me not to be too optimistic, I'm still curious to see what will come out of this. I doubt we will see a total Sonic 4 failure here.

SA2 has more interest than Sonic 4 anyways, even now I might add which is rather shocking. Plus, the game should (key word: should) be somewhat close to how SA1 was made. I feel like there should be some over lap with some of the aspects of the game that could allow for more hacking.
What would I like to see? Generations models, ability to play as any character in any level, and the removal of all power up graphics. And if possible the removal of omochao and remapping the controls. That would basically bring SA2 up to speed as much as it possibly could (New levels are not needed, we have Generations for that).

The difference between SA1 and SA2 is similar to the difference between Sonic 2 and S3K. The same concepts apply, and some of the formats are even the same, but others are quite different. The main problem with any kind of level/model editing or even viewing is that SA2B uses a new model format which we know nothing about, and is not covered in the Dreamcast SDK.

Is it me? Or does this play twice as fast as it should?
Scratch that, this plays far faster, depending on what resolution you choose. It's unplayable. Anyone else having this issue?
*moved question over to SA2 Battle PC topic*

You'll be pleased to know that there actually was an editor for the 360 version of SADX's Chao Garden, and that the developer said he'd do one for SA2.
EDIT: Here it is. He's gonna make it cross-compatible with both games, which should probably also lead to the ability to transfer Chao between games.

Hello. I see you've stumbled upon my editor. ^-^
I do plan on making it compatible with SA2B. But I'm currently having issues with the security the file uses. Whenever I figure out how to fix the security method, I'll release the editor with SA2B compatibility.

I don't suppose you would be willing to like, document the layout of the save files on our wiki? There's already some stuff for SADX's Chao save.
