awesome, I can't wait to check this out when finished. I like that you're going the extra mile and adding little things like the underwater music and changing background and other visual effects in the back & fore ground. I'm really curious as to how hard your new boss is going to be though. I hope really really hard!

Okay, most people didn't like the font in the new title cards of mine. So, I've put Sonic 3D's font in as I thought that might work. What do you prefer, A or B?

Also, people are disliking the advance art. Okay, fair comments. So I have ditched the advance levels (except Chaos Angel Zone). Here is a new level I am working on, but let me explain.
I suck at art, I can't draw for shit. So what I did, is cycled through some other MegaDrive games and used recycled art from their games and put it together. Here is something I am working on (early work-in-progress):

B looks a heaps lot more Sonic.
And the new level's art looks surprisingly Sonic.

While B does looks more fitted for a Sonic game, I actually prefer the other title card font because it looks more creative. And it seems to fit your art style already, whereas the Sonic 3D font kind of sticks out. Just my 2 cents though.

Oh, B absolutely.
And the advance art wouldn't be bad if it was scaled a bit and edited to look more genesis like.

Thanks for your comment. I will wait to see what others do. I could make an option for people to pick which font they would like, but that would take more ROM space, and probably pointless =P

Some of it is, like the shells and anchor and clouds, but the sand was done by StephenUK, and some others are a bit from Advance. You're not the first to point out, "is that Puggsy?" =P

Like said, I can't draw for shit. I can't edit art for shit too. Whenever I try my own art, it never turns out professional like.
Also, thanks for the comments on the new level. I will start putting in slops and curves soon, and add a bit more detail to the background too.

Definately B. The title card font from A looks like it was written in crayon.
It doesn't matter if you think you suck at art; everything looks pretty top notch. If you wanna talk about bad art, I wouldn't really condone the bricks you used as the wall design.


Otherwise, the only thing I would suggest is to not use the italic Sonic 2 HUD, but instead use the straight one as in Sonic 1 / 3K. Just a suggestion though. Otherwise, I'm loving how this looks.

Though I dislike the use of Comic Sans over actually searching for another less overused font, I think it fits more in with the sort of Sonic-like style I see this game having over the more dare I say boring second font.
Why not look at doing something 'comic'-like without using Comic Sans.

I keep meaning to change the numbers of the HUD, but something new keeps popping into my head and I get on with that instead =P

Two things on show here:
1) My new boss. I did it myself (my girlfriend brother help draw Eggman's pod, but except that, I did the rest of the coding and etc). You have to hit the red balls to turn them into yellow, then if they hit the boss, he gets hurt. The red balls and spike balls do not affect Eggman. Run into any ball and it will hurt you, hit he spikeball, even when jumping, it will hurt you. After 8 hits, pinch-mode is in effect. Things will start to get faster, and more balls will be shot at you. After another 8 hits, you defeated Eggman.
2) New DAC driver by ValleyBell. It can play DAC's and PCM's, even during gameplay. And that's why you hear Eggman's voice and the new act clear jingle!
